“I took my 85 year old dad to see Dr. Levine to clear up some medicine issues. Never before have I ever met someone so patient, kind and caring and I can be pretty hard to impress. He took his time and listened intently to my dad and also shared somethings about himself. Dr. Levine is the type of doctor you would want to meet first while searching for your mental health professional. You would have to go no further. I am honestly thinking of switching my doctor of almost 14 years to him. He is that great!!! ”

Dr. Levine was extremely thorough, compassionate, and professional. I have never had a physician spend that much time with me or attend to my story more thoroughly.
Really great. He took the time to understand my concerns and get to know me as a person, and then provided comprehensive feedback and a thoughtful approach to my psychiatric treatment.

Honestly Dr peter was very helpful and he wasthe best in what he does his way of talking and communicating with people was in the most professional way. We even ran late to the appointment and he still accepted us , and spent an extra hour or so to help me after his work hours is done. and it was a great visit with a really professional doctor.
Well the appointment was actually wonderful throughout most of it. He made me feel very comfortable, and it was a nice and relaxing environment. I told him a lot about my life within the first visit, but at the very end of the visit, he made a very big joke about a sexual assault I experienced not to long ago. It got quiet and awkward. Literally the session ended a minute later. It was horribly uncomfortable for me, especially as a female hearing this joke from a much older male. I wish he never made the joke.
Dr. Levine was kind and a competent professional.
Dr. Levine is a very good psychiatrist. He spends lots of time getting to know you as a patient and takes a very thorough patient history. He is very good at finding the right medication regimen to meet patient needs. Follow up visits are very thoughtful and well planned out by this doctor who seems to know exactly what questions to ask to follow up on past issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Levine to anyone looking for a great psychiatrist in the DC/MD/VA area.
I have been seeing Dr. Levine since June 2013 and have been very satisfied with the treatment he has provided for me. Dr. Levine is always able to accommodate my last minute requests for appointments and is very responsive and easy to get a hold off. He remembers what we've discussed previously and shows a genuine interest in the events going on in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Levine!
    Most professional.
I got so much out of my visit. Dr. Levine made me feel welcomed from our initial greet through the end of the appointment. He is extremely professional, and provided incredible services.
I have been seeing Dr. Levine for about one year. He is very easy going with a quiet demeanor. He is easy to talk to and friendly.
Dr. Levine is great--very kind and helpful. He is just very expensive given his high experience level and strong medical background.
I felt it was a waste. This is psychotherapy. It was not really psychiatry. In other words, if you think talking will solve all your issues through discussion, and you are reluctant to go to a psychologist/sociologist/counselor, this man may be right for you. To be fair, I gave him a second chance. Even the next time around, I knew it was wrong for me. He has been in business for quite some time, so I assume this means he does indeed have repeat clients. I only speak for myself.
This was my first time consulting a psychiatrist and I was pleasantly surprised by how at ease I was in such a new, and potentially awkward, situation. Dr. Levine has a very thoughtful and calm demeanor about him that allows you to really feel comfortable expressing your concerns. I appreciated that he listened to my personal situation before applying his knowledge and advice - I feel that his approach is to work with you to develop a solution rather than to simply provide one for you. So if you have specific ideas about your personal needs, he will take your input into consideration to come up with a solution that is mutually agreed upon. His office is very nicely kept, soothing and private, so I was very comfortable talking about my "issues." I also never felt rushed or as if I were on a time constraint which added to the sense of comfort. Overall, a very pleasant experience and I am fortunate to have met Dr. Levine.
very professional and friendly demeanor. Showed genuine concern and suggested realistic and practical goals to help me improve.
    It was enjoyable
Dr. Levine was very professional and courteous. It is clear that he is an expert in his field. I would recommend him to anyone.
He is a very patient and understanding Doctor, as he should be with his profession. He is also the reason I keep using Zocdoc. I was having such a hard time finding a shrink that would listen and stop pushing drugs on me to shut up. Zocdoc saved the day. Anyways, the main thing that impressed me was that he did not just script me up to shut me up. I met with the doctor a couple times before deciding on any medication. He wanted to make sure he prescribed (if any) what was necessary for me. The negative review above is most likely angry that the doctor WAS listening and refused to just solve the issue with drugs until he was fully aware of the patient's issue. So if you are looking for a doctor to just script you, go else where. If you want a caring, patient, and understanding Psychiatrist then he's your man. If you are looking for a way to scam scripts then waste your time angry blogging elsewhere about how hard it is to score your scripts for your recreational use. We need more Psychiatrist like Dr. Levine. I'm lucky ZD helped me find him and my OBGYN... He's also amazing! Abloom =D
It was awful. I felt worse after the appointment than I did before. I did not have the opportunity to explain why I was seeking treatment. The Dr. was more focused on the clock than on me. He was referred by a colleague of his. Big mistake.
