A proud veteran, he served as a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Mattei earned his undergraduate degree from The College of William and Mary and his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in dermatology and dermatologic surgery.
