“Pre-op, op, and post op team were great. Only disappointment was the tech who could not find vein in my right arm/hand. She gave up and got another. I said try back of left hand and she got it on first try. Looking forward to repeat on left side on Oct 28. Please assign same surgeon and team.”

About Dr. Peter Schultz
Dr. Peter Schultz is the Medical Director of Nura Pain Clinics. He works closely with our advanced practice providers, physical therapists, and behavioral psychologists to ensure each new patient receives a comprehensive evaluation. Dr. Schultz earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, and holds a Master's in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at Hennepin County Medical Center and pursued a Fellowship in General Internal Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at the University of California, San Francisco.
Prior to joining Nura, Dr. Schultz spent nearly 30 years practicing in California's Bay Area. His significant roles included serving as a Hospitalist Physician at Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Medical Director for the Berkeley Primary Care Access Clinic, and a member of the Clinical Faculty of the Department of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Schultz has extensive volunteer experience serving underserved populations, ranging from teaching in Nepal to providing medical services at a Navajo Indian Hospital, as well as at various locations in the Bay Area and Central America.
