Psychiatrist
CA
PBC Psychiatry does not accept Medical/Medicare patients. Patients with commercial insurance will be out-of-network and provided a superbill they can submit to insurance for possible reimbursement. Please check with your insurance provider BEFORE booking an appointment, as out-of-network coverage is highly variable. Intakes are $750 for 50 minutes. Follow-ups are $375 for 25 minutes. Hi there—I'm Dr. Philip Cawkwell, board certified in Adult Psychiatry as well as Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from New York University, completed my residency in Adult Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital, and pursued a fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Stanford University. As a younger (mid-30s) provider, I have the ability to connect with teenagers and young adults, as well as the most up-to-date knowledge on the latest psychiatric treatments. I am a good fit if you are looking for a provider who is easy to communicate with (both in and out of session), takes your concerns seriously, and is results-driven. I have specialized training and research experience in first-episode psychosis, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. I can provide both medication management and individual therapy. Unlike the big-box clinics, I will spend time actually getting to know you and your goals during our visits, working collaboratively to improve your life. I have immediate availability for new intakes. I provide psychiatry services from the comfort of your home via telepsychiatry. I do not have an in-person office and am out-of-network with all insurance carriers.
