Dr. Phillip Azouz is a board -certified general adult psychiatrist. Dr. Azouz’s psychiatric practice blends the latest research in medical treatment with insights from psychotherapy and coaching. He treats a variety of psychiatric illnesses including major depression, anxiety disorders, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), addiction, and personality disorders.
Dr. Azouz graduated from University of Michigan Medical School where he was awarded the Albert M. Barret Award for Distinguished Performance in Psychiatry. While a medical student, he conducted research at the Heinz C. Prechter Bipolar Research Center. He completed his psychiatric residency at Florida Atlantic University.
Prior to medical studies, he worked as a Mental Health Specialist at McLean Psychiatric Hospital and conducted research at the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind-Body Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. He completed his undergraduate degree in economics with honors from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

The provider arrived approximately 10 minutes late. The interaction felt awkward and impersonal, and it appeared he was relying heavily on a script while taking notes rather than engaging in a natural conversation. I mentioned having a brother on three separate occasions, which did not seem to register. Additionally, audio issues with his microphone made it difficult to hear him clearly. Overall, the experience felt uncomfortable and rushed, and I was eager for the appointment to end.

Dr. Azouz is absolutely incredible! I've always dreaded having to find a new psychiatrist because I've had some in the past that made me feel like I had to convince them to take me seriously or consider my preferences, but not Dr. Azouz. From the start, I felt supported and like I had finally found a doctor who is actually listening to me and willing to work with me rather than against me. I never felt judged or like I had to prove that my symptoms were disabling enough to warrant the treatment methods I felt would work best for me. Without a doubt, Dr. Azouz is the best psychiatrist I've had.

I found Phillip Azouz to be a wonderful guide in finding the right "cocktale" for my condition in ADHD (Possible bi-polar). He is an excellent listener and he always responded back to me when I had issues or questions. He is a top professional in his field and I would recommend him to anyone.

I consulted with Dr. Azouz due to persistent difficulties with sleep. Following his recommendation of a targeted medication, I began closely monitoring my sleep quality through Whoop, initially recording an average of 60%. With Dr. Azouz’s expert guidance, my sleep quality has now improved to a consistent 95% or higher. I highly recommend Dr. Azouz for his impactful role in significantly enhancing my quality of life.

Dr. Phillip Azouz is definitely the best at what he does!! Not only does he truly care about everything you say but he is always backing his care with research. He is the kindest and so gentle when speakingand In my opinion that is a very important thing when looking into physicians. Last thing is my insurance just went out (lost my job) and I actually had to cancel our appointment last week. DR. Azouz literally called me (free of charge) to ask how I was doing and what he could do to help me get back on track. Then on top of that he offered to send in a new prescription to cover my medication till my new insurance went through — I had to pay for the meds out of pocket but he never billed me for any part of that phone call or for refilling my prescription. I could not recommend him enough and he is truly so good at what he does and he really cares so deeply for every one of his patients. If you’re looking for a new psychiatrist, I 100/10 recommend!
