About Phoebe Tam
Phoebe Tam has worked closely with Dr. Zuckerman as a Physician Assistant at the Dermatology Center since January 2003. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Touro University. Phoebe also worked for several years in the Internal Medicine Department at Winthrop University Hospital, giving her a broad knowledge base of systemic diseases. She is experienced in all aspects of general dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology. Phoebe enjoys the dermatological challenges each new patient presents and takes satisfaction in seeing returning patients improve. She prides herself on taking the time to answer all her patients’ questions and going the extra mile to ensure their dermatologic conditions receive the highest quality of care. Phoebe is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.

My experience was surprising. I booked with Phoebe Tam, who is a provider I am an established patient with. I got follow up calls and text confirming my appointment with Phoebe Tam. I arrived and checked in and spoke with receptionist who said I was all good. The nurse brought me to the examination room and a totally different doctor showed up. I was never made aware that they were switching me to someone else. The doctor who saw me was fine . I have no complaints about him. But I prefer female doctors and did not like that the office just switched my appointment and NEVER mentioned it to me.

I did not like that I waited over an hour to see the doctor. I was seating there for too long and nobody from the staff said anything to me . I think they should at least an acknowledged that I was waiting there that long . People the came after me were seeing before me. They did kit share any explanation or reason why that happened .

Def a 10/10 - I entrust in PA Phoebe Tam for future visits as she was very knowledgeable and a great listener. She gave clear instructions and diagnoses, for follow-ups and treatments. The office was very professional with excellent structure and procedure. The staff was exceptional. Wait time was decent as I was visiting the first time, there was just a lot of initial paperwork. Other than that, I'm very satisfied and relieved I've found a trustworthy dermatologist.

I always have a good experience here except for the wait time. You always wait 45-60 min from your appointment time to be seen. Their scheduling is not great.
