Placido Menezes, MD is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in fracture repair and joint replacement. He provides comprehensive treatment and surgical care for orthopedic disorders of the bones, joints, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Dr. Menezes utilizes minimally invasive techniques and performs all surgical procedures at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital's state of the art operating room. Dr. Placido Menezes has great bedside manner and a very kind demeanor. Only downside to my visit was the semi long wait time to be seen. Other than that, I left feeling reassured and taken care of.

Dr. Menezes was great! Patiently listened to my symptoms, activities, etc... Did not interrupt. Did not seem to be in a hurry.
In fact, based on what he told him, he tested my neck and shoulder - even though I went in believing my issue to be shoulder-related. By listening, he felt my issue was most likely a pinched nerve in my neck and not my shoulder. X-rays essentially confirmed that as well.
It is a relief to at least understand where the issue is - and now therapy and treatment can be properly focused.

Dr. Menezes is an amazing Dr. Takes the time to sit a talk to you an explains everything to you. His patience a kindness goes way beyond any of the Dr. I have had n prior experiences with. It’s unfortunate that the hospital doesn’t appreciate Doctors like him. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an orthopedic.
