About Dr. Praveen Hariharan
Praveen Hariharan and his wife Kritika, with the support of their parents and mentors, founded the MAASHA (Massachusetts Arogya Anusandhan Shiksha) Trust in 2020.
Praveen Hariharan is a physician with clinical interests in acute care, longitudinal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and research interest in venous thrombosis and allied disciplines. He completed primary medical education from B.J. Medical College in 2008, post-graduate training in Internal Medicine from Boston University Medical Center/VA Boston Healthcare System with an additional clinical research fellowship from the Center of Vascular Emergencies at Massachusetts General Hospital and a Master's in Public Health from Boston University School of Public Health. In this capacity, he has served diverse underserved communities, including the veterans in Massachusetts, and mentored many post-graduate trainees. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, he has seen many patients in-person and through various telemedicine platforms.
We advise patients to consult their respective insurance plans to obtain details about their deductible limits for office visits (virtual or in-person) prior to booking appointments. We are unable to provide annual physical exams through virtual visits.

Expensive virtual visit, the doctor charged me a big bill and didn’t tell me anything before or after the visit, which conflict to NO SURPRISE BILL ACT. They also tried to book me a second visit when we saw the lab result has no problem.

Dr. Prasheen Hariharan was very understanding and went above and beyond to help refer me to the specialist I needed, listened to me thoroughly, and took the time to check my insurance (I was a new patient to his office) as soon as I booked the appointment. This was the 5th doctor I had been assigned by MassHealth's plan and it was a relief to see someone like him who was tentative and detail-oriented, and didn't rush me. Absolutely recommend 10/10. Especially if you have mental health disorders that you are trying to address. He already had someone he could refer me to, to further aid me in my mental health endeavors. I also did this virtually so it saved me so much time and gas money. This doctor is someone who cares about his patients even when most likely overloaded by his case load (as most doctors in pandemic are these days.) I can't emphasize enough that finding him is a giant weight off my shoulders.
