I was told my insurance was accepted here, but was rejected when I showed up. I did not get to see this doctor. You should know in advance if you will accept insurance or not. Waste of time.

I had a great experience, I was taken care right away by the nurse, Dr Simovic is a good listener, he was aware of my expectations and tried is best to meet them. Since it is a hospital I got to see the doctor and do any complementary exams which was great. Dr Simovic referred me to a colleague who he thinks will give me better care. I recommend this doctor and this place

I am an overweight young woman who has anxiety about medical stuff. i choose Dr. Simovic and i really liked him. he was both honest and direct with me about the things that are important (losing weight), while being understanding and consoling about other issues (blood pressure thats a touch high). he ordered comprehensive tests for me quickly. i will work with him in the future

Great experience. Very professional, down to earth and knowledgeable. Staff was courteous, respectful and professional. The doctor personally calls you with any test results or additional follow up questions and information which is simply unheard of in 2016. I'm super impressed and will gladly recommend him to anyone looking for a new primary care doctor. 5 stars!

My first and last visit to Dr. Simovic's office started off horribly, because of how their head receptionist discriminated against me for using Meridian (Medicaid) insurance. I went to see Dr. Simovic for a prescription to receive a new prosthetic limb after my current prosthetic arm became ill-fitted after drastic weight loss. Carmen Rivera, the head receptionist, embarrassed me in front of other patients when she asked about my congenital condition, asked me "Do you only have welfare insurance?", and refused help me with an ob-gyn referral that Dr. Simovic asked her to do.
I went and saw Dr. Simovic June 17th, 2015, but I didn't receive my new prosthetic arm until October 19th. This is because Carmen Rivera refused to send requested doctors note to my prosthetist verifying that it is medically necessary that I receive a new prosthesis. I was supposed to receive my new prosthesis the first week of September 2015. I kept calling my prosthetist ever week of September wondering why I had yet to receive my new limb. They kept telling me they were waiting on doctor's notes. Once I figured out that they were missing information from Dr. Simovic's office, I went next day to see what was going on.
Once I arrived at Dr. Simovic's office, luckily Carmen wasn't there and I spoke with their head nurse about the treatment I received and how her office failed to fax my doctor's notes. Now, my prosthetist reached out to Dr. Simovic's office every week of September asking for these notes. Carmen even spoke with Scheck and Siress, my prosthetist's office, lied and said she would send the notes but she never did. Scheck and Siress only received the doctor's notes after I went to the office in-person and asked for them.
I filed a complaint with the dept. of human services, and with Presence St Joseph hospital. I'm sure Carmen still works there and wasn't reprimanded, but if you have Medicaid insurance, don't go to this office. Carmen put my life on hold because I wasn't important enough for her to do her job. I even spoke with her supervisor who didn't know the situation had occurred, which means she also wasn't performing her job duties.
Dr. Simovic was very warm, professional and welcoming, it saddens me that I won't return to see him because of who is working for him.
