Waited almost an hour. The doctor was nice but it felt a bit rushed. Not unusual for this practice/hospital in general.
always on point great listener and she trys to do what u ask to make u feel healthy
Always try and make u satisfy in ur health issues
fast and great
Dr. Rana is very caring and knowledgeable. She always listens well and is willing to take the time to address all of my concerns. The office staff is also always both pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Dr. Rana and the staff at her Carlin Springs (Arlington) location.
Dr. Rana is AWESOME! Not only was she extremely professional, but her entire demeanor was so inviting. I could tell after spending less than 5 minutes with her that she would be my primary care doctor for the rest of my life! She was patient, kind, attentive and actually listened to me while I voiced my concerns. Dr. Rana was not quick to grab a pad and start writing prescriptions or instructions. Rather, she took the time to think through all of my concerns and appropriately made recommendations! Her front office and medical intern also were kind and accommodating. I highly recommend Dr. Rana to anyone who is looking for a doctor who truly cares about her patients and who is not quick to dismiss you. Her office is not run like the "run-of-the-mill" doctor's office where you see a lot of patients who are in and out of the exam room within 5 minutes or less! No, this practice is run like all practices should run -- in an efficient, effective, and professional manner. Kudos to Dr. Rana and her staff!!!
Always very understanding and dr Rana always listens ..
She is great and friendly.
good visit taken in right away
She works with people like she works with animals doesn't even want to touch me or check what I have all her visit was question and that's all . He stuff was rude having a medical assistant student letting her do everything without correcting her even when she made mistakes. Her front disk, rude person. I called after the visit to talk to the doctor about a prescription she was claiming that the doctor not on the office and saying that she can't reach her. Interested to take money from patient and from the insurance. I will never go to her office and I will never recommend her. I will try my best to reach out to the medical board and let them know about this doctor and her stuff
Dr. Rana was great and I enjoyed working with her as my doctor but the staff is absolutely horrible and I will not be going back. Most recently when I was very sick, I called to make an appointment and the person who answered the phone told me there were no appointments and offered me no alternative with different appointment times or suggestions with what I should do. My symptoms were pretty severe. During my last appointment I had lost weight and the assistant was very rude, wanting to gossip about how I did it because she was trying to lose weight, her suggestion to me was to drink green tea.. I find this completely inappropriate as I was in a doctors office and there was a medical reason why I lost weight. I've waited in the waiting room for over 45 minutes more then once. Last, there has been at least two occasions where someone in the office wrote me the wrong prescription and once refused to fix the mistake. I wish I had better things to say because there is potential here but I am not going back.
While the office was a bit chaotic, everyone was very nice and doing the best they could. Dr. Rana was very kind and thorough.
I think this had to be the worst wait time in a long time. The Doctor was ok just wasn't what I expected. She didn't have an excuse as to why the wait time was so long. I highly doubt if I will come back to see this Doctor.
My visit was fine, she seemed to be concened about my health condition. Although I am not happy with how the visit was billed, which was billed under a different reason than what I intended. Hopefully that can be resolved.
She was very attentive, sweet but listened to everything I had to say. I will definetly go to her again and recommend friends
She is very kind, explain things well. It was my first appointment with her and i will definitely come back.
she's a very good doctor and yes I will be returning back
This was my first time at Dr. Rana's office, having only recently moved to the area. I was pleased with the efficiency and personability of all of the staff in the office. While I just wanted a prescription refill, Dr. Rana definitely made sure to ask if I had any other health questions or concerns and documented a baseline of my health for her files. I plan to keep her as my PCP in the future.
Very knowledgable. Her nurse came into the room to ask her a question on another patient when she was seeing me. She asked, "did you notice the edema on room 2?" When Dr. Rana responded "yes", it was very reassuring to me that she is very observant and is using all of this information to make the best clinical decision. I'm not sure what is going on for me medically, but I felt confident leaving her office with some referrals that she is going to be a great resource for the best treatment possible.
I hadn't been to the doctor in four years; my wife convinced me to go and get a physical / checkup. Dr Rana's office drew blood on me, said they would call me with the results. Never heard back from them.
Dr. Rana was wonderful. She asked a lot of questions & really listened to me. I will definitely be going back to her.
She was very kind, polite, and asked the right questions.
Although the wait was pretty long, I was happy with my appointment. Dr. Rana asked the important questions and took my concerns into consideration. I liked that they were able to take blood there in the office and do an EKG right there. I was very grateful that I didn't have to go to a lab to have that done. I didn't like having to pay $4.00 just to park at the Dr.'s office, but overall I was happy with my visit. Next time I will park in a place I know and walk to the office.
Wait was a bit long, but, then again, sometimes you just gotta suck it up, if you 're seeing a good doctor. She was great. Did not rush me, was polite and attentive. Made sure I have the opportunity to address any other issues I had questions about. I am permanently switching to this office from my other PCP in DC. I do recommend Dr Preeti Rana to anyone looking for a personable MD in NOVA area.
She was so sweet and helpful!
This was only my first time visiting her. She seems to be a great doctor.
She is a very empathetic, thorough and extremely professional. Her staff was also very well organized and helpful. I feel she is going to be the physician for my entire family.
She is a passionate and caring doctor. I am glad I found her.
She was great. Being shown to an exam room an hour and fifteen minutes after my appointment was not. Neither was waiting in said room for another 30 minutes. She was apologetic and efficient, but I won't return to this office unless I suddenly develop an incredible surplus of time.
She is wonderful. Answered all my questions and was very kind. She is now my new doctor.
Everything was okay. Front desk staff left a little to be desired in terms of attentiveness and positive attitude. I also found it weird that in the office they did not ask for my medical history. The Dr. was fine, took care of what I needed and was friendly. The blood work ordered was done in their office, so that was also nice.
Tried to provide me with services I didn't really need...and rates are expensive.
This is my first appointment with her and I felt she understands my problem.
I happy for visit
This was my second visit and I am just as happy as I was the first time. I feel taken care of, relaxed, and I think she did a thourough job. The fact that she had me schedule a followup was very reassuring to me because she actaully cares about my health.I did not feel like just another patient on her schedule.I am very thankful that I finally found a wonderful doctor.
Waited a long time in the waiting room. Once I was finally called back (only after asking how long is the wait) she was a little cold and rushed through the appt.
Dr. Rana is always wonderful. She never rushes you and listens to everything you have to say. She's incredibly empathetic and kind. Highly recommended!
This was my first time visiting this doctor since I just moved to the area. I have never had such a great experience like the one I had with Dr. Rana. First of all, I didn't have to wait for my appointment becuse they were right on schedule! Secondly, the office seemed very organized and they all had good communication with eachother (This includes Dr. Rana, the front desk, and the nurse). Dr. Rana gave me good advice and made me feel very welcome. I don't remember the nurse's name, but she was so sweet and made sure that I had everything I needed. My one complaint is that you have to pay $4.00 to park and they don't validate.......but, that's really not a huge deal so I will stick to this office for now on!
I really liked my visit. First time there but she was awesome. Very professional patient and friendly. She listens to your concerns.
She was fantastic. Very professional but compassionate, put me at ease while being thorough.
Great bedside manner and listened to all my concerns. She didn't dismiss the issues and actually tried to figure out possible causes.
I love Dr. Rana! she is very thorough, kind and compassionate. And she listens to what I have to say.
It was good she lesing to my problem n did something
I was waiting for a very long time inside the room, longer then the appointment itself. But i like her and she does her job well , i dislike the 4$ you have to pay to part and thing it may drive me to a different doctor soon, nothing to do with her but i spend enough on my medical problems
Dr. Rana was engaged and demonstrated careful consideration of my various concerns, considered my full medical history, and took active steps through testing, recommendations, and a scheduled follow up to investigate the source of my problems. This was the first time I'd seen an internist in the DC area, and I was very pleased with the courtesy and professionalism of both the doctor and her staff.
Great annual physical exam with Dr. Rana. Waited only a few minutes before being seen. Direct but thorough visit, no frills. I didn't feel like I was just another patient; she asked all of my questions, eased some of my anxiety about a health lingering condition, and did not rush me out of the exam room. Her nurses were also pretty congenial but professional.
Great communication and friendly.
It was a pleasant experience. Dr. Preeti is very and accommodating to her patients :)
She's wonderful she seems to always knows how I feel and she agree with me I love her she's been my doctor for the last couple of years .
Very rude and mixed up.
The doctor was helpful but the wait time was extensive. I would go back but be prepared with the questions you want to ask.
She always understands my feelings and knows how to help with any medical issues she's the best doctor I've ever had....
Dr. Rana is great! Only con is that it took about 25 minutes before they took me back. Nice staff and great doctor.
The whole experience was fantastic. Finally, a doctor that actually talks to you! and I didn't have to wait at all.
I am extremely satisfied with the Dr. , staff, and office in general.
She would not help me with my recent news that i have IC( Interstitial Cystitis at all would not help me in anyway.) She would not even hear me out about treatment. She was helpful before i found out i had this painful bladder disease.
It was an exceptional visit. I posed a complex issue in which she professionally asked all the right questions, physically checked me for clues, took blood and urine, replace one of my meds and is prepared to schedule a cat scan w/contrast after reviewing my labs. All this was done quickly, but with no sense that I was being hurried. This was a great first visit and confirmed the value of using ZocDoc to find a doctor for any situation.
She's wonderful and careing doctor and she's knows just what to do she will always be my doctor thanks dr rana
doctor Rena is excellent! She really takes time to be with you. She listens to everything you have to say, and takes it all into consideration during your consultation.I have always appreciated the care and attention that I received from her.
So understanding and careing
The best I love her always listens to you and very kind and understanding she will always be
She was sooo nice, genuinely concern, easy to converse with, not boring. The nurse was also so nice. I have never had such a pleasant doctors visit. I go back on 2weeks and I'm not dreading it like I usually would .. because other docs are so boring and awkward and sometimes mean. Finally a doctors office I am comfortable with.
The wait was a little excessive, but it was worth it! Dr. Rana was thorough and kind but didn't try to subject me to unneeded tests or medicine.
I've been seeing her for2 years I have Kasier insurance she dose not take it but I also have bluecrossblue sheid so I love her as doc she dose everything correct very nice and kind
I'm a regular with Dr. Rana and I think if you can get a morning appointment its best. She seems much less rushed first thing.
Dr. Rana is excellent. I had to talk to her about some tough family-related medical problems: she listened to me very patiently and sensitively. She addressed my needs, recommended some extra tests for 100% accuracy and promised a speedy follow-up. Her nurse was very kind as well. The office is extremely clean. I am so glad Zoc Doc helped me find her! I'm new to area and this service gave me peace of mind.
Very understanding will never change doctors she's wonderful and she listen to your needsc
Dr. Rana was a beautiful woman inside and out. She listen to me, a rarity in my experience! She was genuinely caring. I could tell by the way that she carries herself that she is an intelligent, experience, just a very well rounded person. I no that was a doctor like her that I will be able to recover and be okay thank you!
She listened to me and is the first doctor willing to help me with an chronic condition. She wanted to do help me solve the problem instead of sending me away and telling me it would get better with time.
The dr. Was very kind soft very caring about my situation make feel so relax by assuming me I'll be fine
This was my first visit with Dr. Rana. She was very patient and listened to all of my health concerns and had a great plan of action right away. The office staff was very nice as well and very attentive. I'm so glad I finally found a great PCP in the NoVa area.
Very professional and thorough, asked questions and seemed to care about me as a "whole patient." Highly recommend.
Good Doctor and a nice person.. Except the Parking fee and some wait time everything was great
I thought it was a great experience.
Dr. Rana was very kind and probotive as to my visit and past medical history. I would definitely see her again. Only downside is having to pay for parking, walls in doctor office were super thin. You get the feeling she is building her practice up and isn't very robust right now. The plus of that is her availability and increased patience and time given to you as a patient though.
The office has a calm and peaceful atmosphere The staff are welcoming and courteous. Dr. Rana was extremely thorough and gave me her undivided attention. She has a wonderful personality and is extremely knowledgeable
My experience with Dr. Rana was excellent. I looked for a new doctor after lots of bad experiences with doctors in downtown DC. I found them all horribly rushed, always running late, and seemingly only interested in getting me out the door as soon as possible. Their waiting rooms were always full and it would take months to get an appointment. I looked to the VA suburbs thinking I'd undoubtedly find a more diligent doctor there. I did in Dr. Rana. I had no problem getting an appointment with 3 days notice. Her office was very clean and modern (thumbs up to the flat screen TV in the waiting room) and I was the only person scheduled at my appointment time. The nurse was helpful and efficient; then Dr. Rana visited with me and showed genuine concern for my well-being despite it being my first visit there. She outlined the needed follow up tests for some pain I'd been having and promised to monitor it until we found improvement. She never was rushed to get out of the room and asked repeatedly if I had any other questions or concerns. Thrilled to finally find a solid medical professional in the DC area. Only thumbs down - the parking lot charges four bucks.
Dr. Rana herself was fairly nice, but I was kept waiting over an hour and the nurses appeared poorly trained; It took four attempts to draw blood. You also must pay for parking at the garage ($4) which is unusual for this suburban of an area.
Dr. Rana is a good listener and, in my opinion, worth the wait.
Dr. Rana is a nice enough doctor, but I would take less nice for more organization and efficiency. These are things that can be improved and I offer the following suggestions: - More help/training for check-in personnel. There was one woman and she was clearly overwhelmed, possibly new. I saw one patient leave because he'd clearly been there too long. At the end of my visit she asked me if I had a co-pay. If I had been a dishonest person I could have said no and left. The photo-copy of my insurance card that she made and managed to put in my file has my co-pay information right on the front. -- The office only takes cash or check. I have a HSA debit card. While it's not a big deal, it's something I would have liked to have known prior to my visit. You also have to pay to park. -- This was a three hour ordeal and most of it was spent sitting in the exam room alone. It would have been different if we'd spent three hours talking about my health but we didn't. -- A checklist would be helpful. Dr. Rana seemed to be constantly trying to remember what she was supposed to ask me. A standardized checklist for the patient to fill out and a standardized checklist of all she'd like to cover as the doctor might be beneficial for organization.
Very pleasant, excellent professional manner very through
Long wait for being the only one in the reception area. Sat there for 20 minutes before even being checked in. Front office staff is lacking.
Very courteous and attentive! Nursing staff was great as well!
Excellent all around!
Dr Rana was very thorough. I'm an ER nurse and she ordered every diagnostic test I was hoping for.
I was seated on time. Dr. Rana addressed my concerns and gave me proper scripts. Insurance was hassle free.
Really friendly, professional doctor with a friendly, professional staff. There was a bit more of a wait than I'd have liked, but once I was called, I didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Rana, and she and her nurse were extremely helpful.
Simply the best doctor I've had in a long time. Very knowledgeable and sweet.
Very professional and personable. She takes the time to really know how you are, beyond just the 'reason' for your visit. Highly recommended.
She is easily the most caring physician I have seen in a long, long time. I definitely felt 'heard' by her.
She is amazing! I highly recommend her.
Dr. Rana is a very friendly and comforting Doctor to be with. She is soft spoken and caring and makes you feel comfortable and at ease immediately. Her nurse staff was extremely efficient and helpful too.
I think she did a good job but could have done a better check-up for me!
She was very professional.
