Patient reviews for Dr. Pyone Maung
Felt very rushed. I prefer the other doctor at this location who is much more pleasant and seems to be more attentive to patient needs.
The doctor really listened to me and took all my concerns seriously. It’s been very hard for me to find medical professionals in this area who make me feel comfortable. I will definitely be a long tome patient. Thank you Dr.
Always easy and reliable!
She’s always cheerful and answers all my questions
Appt was rushed.
Polite staff. Short wait time. Well decorated and modern office.
My visit was a yearly check up. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The space is clean and welcoming. My time with Dr. Maung was brief but thorough. I didn't realize my apt was over and meant to ask Qs during the visit. Rookie mistake on my part. Writing questions down next visit!
Great doctor, friendly, clean facilities. Staff can be a little dry.
She was very friendly and very informative and answered all my questions.
Everything ran smoothly and Dr. Maung was very careful and will follow up tomorrow.
This was my first visit with Dr. Maung. She was very friendly and thorough, while respecting that I needed to quickly get on my way to work. The office was clean and the reception and nursing staff were very friendly.
Dr. Maung is awesome!!! Very friendly, and a little humorous when She noticed my nervousness about the consultation. Friendly staff and less wait time. We did so much in one consultation appointment, thank you Dr. Maung.
Dr. Maung is very thorough and pays attention to the details. Very happy with my exam. There was no wait time.
Dr. Maung was very thorough and professional. She used my records, blood tests, etc. to carefully render a conclusion and treatment. Everybody was great
Very unprofessional doctor. Kept interrupting me and didn’t bother to listen to what I had to say. I received no help for my issue and was rushed out. Waste of time and money.
After several lackluster experiences with GPs in the past, visiting a doctor who is engaged and willing to listen to your concerns feels like such a relief. Dr. Pyone heard me out and walked through potential next steps for the matters we discussed. The appointment was quick and efficient but the care was genuine.
Great experience. This was my first visit with Dr. Maung. Her and her staff were very professional with great bedside manner.
No-nonsense check-up, but not very thorough. I expected there would be more time for a Saturday visit. Got the basics done and Dr. Maung communicated very clearly.
I WAS MADE TO FEEL COMFORTABLE DURING MY INITIAL VISIT WITH DR. MAUNG, AND WOULD RECOMMEND HER TO ANY FRIEND OR FAMILY MEMBER WHO MAY BE SEEKING A P.C.P. (PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN).
Dr. Maung is the best!
This office seemed disorganized and yet, I was seen for 5 min (a new patient!). Beware!
I waited maybe 15 at the most before I was brought into a treatment room.
Dr. Mauyong was kind and professional. There was a bit of a stye difference between us, so I can't say I love her. She was thorough and I didn't feel rushed or ignored.
I really love Dr. Maung. She uses a very sensible more holistic, practical approach than most doctors. She is very honest and straightforward which I appreciate tremendously.
Amazing bedside manner. Super sweet. Excited for my next visit with her.
Very helpful and patient, and I was able to make an appointment for next day.. would definitely recommend
Dr. Maung is very nice, which is why I didn't rate this visit lower. The wait time was too long--I was waiting for more than 30 minutes and there wasn't anyone else in the waiting room. The nurse was not pleasant at all, and at times was almost mean. It was not a good experience overall.
Dr Maung was very knowledgeable and provided me with direct, clear information on the issues I wanted to learn about. I really appreciated her attitude and understanding of my concerns.
Right to the point, examination, diagnosis, and prescription.
I really enjoyed my experience. I am planning on traveling to Peru and Dr. Maung knew excuse what vaccines I needed and gave me a physical. I feel really prepared to go now.
I’ve never met any doctor as genuine, caring, helpful and knowledgeable as Dr. Maung. I found her because of an urgent issue that other doctors didn’t take serious. I was panicking at the time and had lost faith in the American healthcare system. It was Dr. Maung’s confidence that restored mine. She recognized the symptoms at once. And, not like some other doctors who left me to my own immune system, she gave me prescriptions that I needed and gave me helpful advices. I was cured in a couple of weeks. On top of that, she found the cause of my anemia which had been bothering me for years. All the other doctors stopped at iron deficiency and wouldn’t bother to look further. I only wish I had found Dr Maung earlier.
I went to her on the weekend (Saturday) for a scheduled annual and there was no wait time. I love seeing doctors with weekend appointments so I don't have to take off work. She was really friendly and professional and reviewed my patient history since I was a new patient. She took her time with me and addressed all my questions and concerns. Very happy to have a new primary care doctor with such a great bedside manner.
Seeing Dr. Maung was pleasant, but the nurse who did my intake and drew my blood seemed a little unprofessional and rude. The front desk staff was very professional.
Dr. Maung is simply wonderful. She is kind, patient, and informative. My favorite part about her is that she does not push for unnecessary medication or treatments.
It was great. I was in and out. Her medical assistant, Gizelle was also amazing. I hate needles and she made the blood work portion of the visit pleasant.
Great, informative, highly recommend!
Kept cutting me off. Was very rude.
Dr Maung is the best, and this medical office is great!
Friendly, helpful and efficient! Thank you!
Dr. Maung is very professional and patient. She clear out my worry of breast cancer as she explained to me what I was experiencing, she was assuring and calming when recommend keeping a periodical exam. Very pleased with the nurses who took care of me prior and after Dr. Maung exam. Friendly and warm. However the front desk receptionists where harsh and impersonal.
A very kind and knowledgeable doctor! Amazing.
Very professional and wait time was very short!
Loved the staff and the doc
Dr. Maung is professional, reassuring and very competent. I found her and the whole staff at Weill Cornell to be welcoming, accepting of gender non-conforming bodies and very well equipped to serve many different needs. I will go back. Kim, a MA, was fantastic.
I like her very much. She listens to what I say, and explains her thinking and what she wants to do, and makes sure I understand. I trust her and I feel she is doing her best for me.
Very easy to talk to and reassuring.
She was thorough with the examination and addressed all my concerns. I felt comfortable and confident that she was making sure I was healthy.
A great doctors office
On the website she described as having an interest and experience in HIV but didn't provide sufficient information about PreP and other preventative measures but insisted it was my own decision. Very reluctant to talk about STD, I would have gained more information from WebMD or other websites. Further, her personality wasn't reassuring but she did help with a podiatrist referral and arranged for a number of tests I requested.
Felt listened to and like she applied her medical knowledge and experience well
