“I am so satisfied that I decided to do acupuncture along with PT. It really helps a lot for my low back pain! Acupuncture usually comes first which makes my muscles and pain relieved before I do the stretches. Dr. Yu not only explains how each needle would help but also kindly cares about my feelings because I was not familiar with needles. He also answers me all the questions when sometimes I am curious why needles on legs in addition to low back. I would say I love acupuncture now thanks to Dr. Yu’s help!”

Dr. Qi Yu is a New York State licensed and national board-certified acupuncturist and massage therapist. He has been working as an acupuncturist for 7 years and a massage therapist for over a decade. At present, He sees patients at Chung Ying Physical Therapy & Acupuncture.
Dr. Yu received training in massage therapy at Brooklyn Institute of Massage Therapy and continued his education at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, where he obtained his Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
Dr. Yu not only has an extensive background in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, he is also equipped with various massage therapy skills, including Swedish massage, Shiatsu, and reflexology. Dr. Yu is specialized in treating acute and chronic pain syndromes, including tennis elbow, sciatica, frozen shoulder, sprains, tenosynovitis, migraine headache, facial paralysis, and stomachache. He has also successfully helped patient with stress reduction, insomnia, smoking cessation, and menopause syndrome.

Doctor Qi Yu, was very professional so was the therapist. Not crazy about the masseuse. She did not fit with the professionalism that was offered by the Doctor and the therapist.

Everything was very professional, Dr. Yu knew exactly what he was doing and should be considered one of the best in his field. I came in with lower backaches that my prescribed medicines could not fix and immediately after my first visit, they felt much better. I have been doing treatment with Dr. Yu for quite a while. His skills in Chinese medicine are amazing. I have tried acupuncture, tuina, and cupping with him. And I can definitely feel the differences in my body and energy condition.

Dr. Yu helps me a lot with my shoulder pain. My problem has come and gone for years, but I could never fully recover from it. It has caused a severe issue in my daily life. Dr. Yu was quite patient and flexible with different treatment methods. I am almost fine now, it was really impressive.

I have done several sessions with Dr. Yu, I can tell that the ankle pain has pretty much gone away. Acupuncture is more amazing than I have expected.

I can tell Dr. Yu is really professional according to the way he discussed my symptoms with me. My wrist pain has been come and go for a while, it's great I finally find a proper way to treat it.

Dr. Yu is a quite patient doctor. I couldn't describe well about my symptoms, but Dr. Yu still take a detailed look at my body condition and conduct the treatment. I almost fell asleep during the acupuncture session; it felt so good after the massage.

Dr. Yu's skills are pretty professional. I had wrist pain for a long time because of my work. When Dr. Yu treated me, I could feel the tension eased at my tendon.

Chinese medicine is quite new to me. Dr. Yu explained to me in a simple and clear way. The uncomfortableness of the lower back got better after about 5 visits. I am glad it works.
