Dr. Rachel Alison is a psychiatrist who believes that psychiatry is not one size fits all. She focuses on forming a therapeutic relationship in which patients are empowered to take an active part in their care. She believes that medications are only part of mental health treatment and strives to work with every patient on an individualized treatment plan.
She is originally from northeast Tennessee. She graduated summa cum laude from Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish. She then obtained her medical degree from East Tennessee State University. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Kentucky and is board certified in psychiatry by the ABPN.
In her free time, Dr. Alison enjoys spending time with her fiancé along with her three dogs - Bentley, Willow, and Royce and her seven bearded dragons.

Dr Alison is a rare find in what feels like a sea of oversized providers who have outsourced staff all over the world. Her practice is legitimate, professional and does their diligence in making sure they are providing patients with the care they need. It is so refreshing in this age of telehealth to be working with an actual office and staff. Dr. Alison is extremely intelligent, compassionate and knowledgeable. I am so lucky a spot opened up and if you see one, personally, I would grab it. I haven’t left a review before and this experience was such a positive change from what I’d been experiencing I hope it helps others who are looking for someone they can truly connect with long term. My needs were met and I will be continuing my care with this practice. I am impressed by their thorough intake, and the support from the staff at the local office as well as Dr. Alison, who spent a lot of time with me, Thank you!!

Dr. Alison is a great physician! It can be overwhelming establishing care with a psychiatrist, but Dr. Alison made it so easy! You can tell that she really cares about her patients. This is a huge relief for me, and I recommend Dr. Alison to anyone looking for a great psychiatrist!

I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Alison. She is caring, has a great bedside manner, and confidently came up with a plan. I am grateful that she is my psychiatrist. I am already making progress with my mental health care, and see even more progress in the near future as well as the long term.

I was very happy with my visit with Dr. Alison. She listened to my concerns and is obviously an experienced
physician. I have seen multiple psychiatrists in the past while trying to establish care with a doctor I liked
and trusted. I am glad I found Dr. Alison so that I can stick with the same psychiatrist for the long term.

Dr. Alison has really helped me through a combination of medication and lifestyle adjustments.
I really appreciate her approach to medicine and how it felt like she tailored a plan specifically for me by using my input and her recommendations. She was very patient with me as well.
