“Rachel was great and understanding. I have met with many in this field and I find a lot of them don't really hear or accept what I am trying to explain, almost to a point where it feels condescending. She was very compassionate about my well-being, issues, concerns and made me feel very comfortable. Look forward to our next appointment.”

Getting to know Rachel Dinkler

I'm Rachel, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in Orange County, California. I earned my Master's in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. My background as a neonatal intensive care nurse has shaped me into a solution-oriented, responsive, and empathetic provider. My goal is for my clients to feel safe and understood. I collaborate closely with my clients to create personalized treatment plans that are both evidence-based and patient-centered.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in setting attainable goals, and helping my clients achieve them. I want my clients to feel empowered to continue their mental health journey, and knowing they can have a provider they can depend on.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I believe in providing personalized, tailored care to achieve each client’s specific mental health goals through medication management. I want my clients to feel valued, respected and to know they have a provider that they can depend on. During your first session which normally takes between 45 to 60 minutes, we will created a personalized treatment plan with medication based upon your symptoms, and lifestyle. **I do not currently provide forensic evaluations such as fitness-for-duty evaluations (FFDEs), return-to-work evaluations, or short- or long-term disability evaluations.**

I was not provided the medical support I needed. I have chronic insomnia and have been medically supervised on sleep medication for years. I have no medication now and must suffer the effects of lack of sleep and it’s affect on my mental and physical health. It is frustrating when older women are dismissed as being hysterical, drug-seeking, disingenuous patients instead of being taken seriously. I’ll now have to spend even more money trying to find a compassionate practitioner.
