Getting to know Rachel Firman
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's Degree in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, focused on Psychiatric Mental Health. My experience includes treating Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD in adult patients aged 21-55. I believe that together we can establish a medication regimen designed to improve your quality of life and minimize symptom presentation. I am also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
I will always strive to make you feel comfortable and at ease as we work together. I understand the angst that can sometimes arise when starting mental health treatment and will work with you to alleviate any discomfort. I recognize that no two patients are alike and that treatment is not one size fits all; I will tailor a plan specifically to your needs.
I believe in you and your ability to recover, even though your current suffering may limit your insight into that recovery. I know struggling can feel dark, scary, lonely, and painful, and I am sensitive to that suffering. I believe that with proper medication management and counseling, your present suffering can become a distant memory.

Rachel has been understanding and insightful. Remarkably, when I did t think it would ever happen, she has helped me return to my “normal” self! My only wish is that I hadn’t waited so long to get the hep I needed. Also, the chemistry has to be right. I’ve met with other folks and it just wasn’t. Thank you Rachel and Life Stance!
