“I had such a genuinely positive experience with Dr. Rachel Golpanian. I’ve seen a few dermatologists before, and for the first time I truly felt like a patient rather than just another dollar walking through the door.
Dr. Golpanian made me feel comfortable right away. She was patient, thorough, and really took the time to listen to my concerns. I never felt rushed, which can unfortunately happen in busy dermatology offices. She explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt informed and at ease before leaving.
The office itself was clean, well organized, and ran smoothly. The staff were kind, professional, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.

About Dr. Rachel Golpanian
Dr. Shireen Golpanian is a board-certified dermatologist at New York Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. She offers comprehensive care for both adults in and children. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from New York University before completing medical school at the University of Miami, where she was awarded the prestigious Research Distinction Award for her work on chronic itch. She has presented her research at national conferences and has authored numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals on this topic. Dr. Golpanian went on to complete her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn and is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Having trained extensively with diverse patient populations, Dr. Golpanian is experienced in treating a wide range of skin types and conditions. Dr. Golpanian has a special interest in integrative dermatology, combining traditional medical therapies with a holistic perspective to address skin concerns from multiple angles. I went in for acne but I don’t think I was properly understood. Just got prescribed a bunch of things that ended up doing more harm than good. Also if you have any issues, there’s no way to contact the derm again unless you wanna pay a lot for a small question again. Please look for other derms!

I was welcomed by a friendly office staff. The waiting area was nicely appointed. The Doctor did not keep me waiting, honored my appointment as scheduled. This is a big deal for me, as I am always frustrated to be put in a room and to sit and wait. Bonus points for timeliness.
Dr. Golpanian was lovely. She listened to my concern and assured me that I did not have any areas to be concerned about. I liked that she did not feel the need to remove anything that did not need to be removed.
Overall- very good experience- good feelings about having gone to this medical office.

They FORGOT to register me in Ipledge for my Accutane process. I saved my time and self by calling myself and asking. The woman at the reception kept putting me on hold mid through a sentence.
The doctor was a nice person, but the office is horrible.

Dr. Golpanian is truly amazing. She listened to me so carefully and offered solutions for my eczema and psoriasis that no one else ever mentioned. I felt genuinely cared for, never rushed, and I appreciated that she didn’t try to put me on medications for life. Her goal was to actually fix the issue, not just manage it forever.
