Dr. Rachel Mindin is a highly respected optometrist and an integral part of New York Laser Vision Eye Centers. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York. Dr. Mindin is known for her expertise in diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, as well as her compassionate and personalized approach to patient care.
In addition to her formal education, Dr. Mindin has extensive experience in eye care. She has worked in diverse settings, including private practice, academic medical centers, and community health centers. This broad range of experience has given her a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in eye care.
Dr. Mindin is highly skilled in managing a wide range of eye conditions. She has a special interest in treating Dry Eye Disease and offers a unique approach to patients suffering from eyelid inflammation and dry eyes. New York Laser Vision was the first practice in NYC to offer IPL for dry eye, blepharitis, and rosacea, and Dr. Mindin was instrumental in developing the protocols to improve treatment. She also has particular expertise in managing glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease. Additionally, she specializes in fitting contact lenses, including for patients with complex prescriptions.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Mindin is committed to advancing optometry and serves as a mentor to optometry students, helping prepare the next generation of eye care professionals.

Dr. Mindin has great bedside manner and helped me with my issues, so I highly recommend her and would go back.
The only setback is that Zocdoc stated incorrectly that the office would accept my Guardian vision insurance, but this was not the case. The office does accept my United Healthcare medical insurance, but the cost was much higher than my usual copay because of my deductible.
