About Rachel Weinreb

Hello, I’m Rachel Weinreb, MSN, FNP-BC, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner currently practicing in psychiatry. With more than a decade of nursing experience across emergency medicine, stroke and neurological care, IV infusion therapy, outpatient services, and urgent care, I bring a well-rounded and compassionate perspective to mental health treatment. My background caring for patients in fast-paced, high-acuity environments has taught me the importance of truly listening, building trust, and treating each person with empathy, dignity, and respect. I earned my associate degree from St. Vincent’s College in Connecticut and went on to complete both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Sacred Heart University. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing a wide range of medical and emotional challenges, which has strengthened my understanding of how closely mental and physical health are connected. I believe effective psychiatric care starts with seeing the whole person—not just a diagnosis. I work with patients managing anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, PTSD, and substance use disorders. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized, focused on helping patients feel supported and understood from the very first visit. I strive to create a safe space where patients can openly discuss their concerns, goals, and experiences without fear of judgment. In addition to psychiatric care, I also offer personalized concierge support for weight management. I combine evidence-based medical treatment with compassionate coaching to help patients build sustainable habits, improve confidence, and achieve long-term wellness goals.
