About Dr. Radhika Shah
Dr. Radhika Shah is a Board-Certified Dermatologist with expertise in medical, pediatric, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She is especially passionate about complex medical dermatology and understanding the psychological impact of skin conditions, ensuring her patients receive care that is both clinically advanced and deeply compassionate.
A proud Texan, Dr. Shah grew up in Missouri City, just outside Houston. She graduated magna cum laude from Houston Baptist University with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology before earning her master’s degree in Medical Sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. She went on to receive her medical degree from Texas A&M University College of Medicine. Dr. Shah completed her internship in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, followed by a dermatology residency at Baylor Scott & White in Temple, where she served as Chief Resident during her final year.
Dr. Shah has contributed extensively to dermatology scholarship, co-authoring textbook chapters and publishing research in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her early love of writing was evident in medical school, where she chaired The Synapse, a publication dedicated to the human stories behind medicine.
Her approach to patient care is rooted in connection—she values building relationships and tailoring treatment plans to each individual’s needs, goals, and overall well-being. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatological Society, and American Medical Association.

I visited the new Westlake Dermatology location in Lockhart, and even though they’ve only been open a couple of weeks, everything already feels polished and welcoming. The office is beautiful, modern, and very well put together.
The front desk staff greeted me warmly and made check-in easy. The doctor was excellent—very knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to ask detailed questions to make sure we found the best treatment plan for me. I truly felt listened to and cared for.
Such a great addition to Lockhart. Highly recommend!
