Rakesh Chugh, MD provides urgent care and other medical services for adult patients at his private practice in Tinley Park, Illinois. Dr. Chugh takes pride in being able to offer patients high-quality, highly personalized care as a solo practitioner, along with continuity of care. Patients can count on being able to see him at his practice or the hospital for treatment.
Dr. Chugh is dedicated to helping patients enjoy optimal physical well-being by ensuring that they receive exceptional care that goes beyond managing medical conditions or treating symptoms. He also provides patients with the tools they need for a long, healthy life, including nutritional advice.
Dr. Chugh earned his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Punjab, India in 1989. He then went on to gain experience and improve his skills and knowledge with an internship at University of Illinois Hospital the following year and a residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois in 1993. In 2000, Dr. Chugh established his private practice in the Chicago Heights area, and he also lends his expertise to local hospitals by serving as medical director at Vitas Hospice Program 37 and Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit.
Dr. Chugh is a Board-certified physician with the American Board of Internal Medicine. His professional affiliations also include being a member of the American Medical Association and a member of the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine.

Appointment was at 10:00am small office, staff of mother daughter and other. During visit daughter requested (other) staff member cover her nose while they were talking which ruffled her feathers... later on daughter relayed to mother that as long as she goes by the book she is good and the (other) was aggravating her by challenging safety measures of wearing mask properly... followed with "plus she just got her period." Finally I was brought back for vitals, done by nurse (daughter). Mother then informed me DR. was running a bit late but she would let HIM tell me about that and closed door to room #whatever @ around 10:30am. 11:am I tell (daughter) I have to get to work by a certain time... she tells me Dr. just walked in I will let him know. 11:23am Dr, walks in.... Unimpressed-

Dr. Chugh and his team are extremely attentive, hospitable, and personable. As someone who doesn’t frequent the doctors office regularly I generally tend to dread any visit, but my experience here was wholly the opposite, and very comforting. They also practiced as much social distancing as the visit would allow. I felt very comfortable sharing some issues I’ve been having and Dr. Chugh gave each question its due attention. I have no doubts my next appointment will be equally beneficial!

This was my first visit to Dr. Chugh and I’ll be coming back! He was very nice and attentive. The office staff was friendly and inviting. I didn’t have to wait at all, I was taken into an exam room right away. I’ve been looking for PCP and I feel that I’ve found him.

Dr. Ragegh Chugh was easy to talk to and took the time to explain his findings, recommendations, and asked me if I had any questions. Before leaving his office, Dr. Chugh had the correct number to my pharmacy , to call in my prescription, as well as a list of my meds. He was very professional .

The doctor was not in the office when I came for my appt at 10. He didn’t get there until about 10:50. He was very professional and helpful when he did come, though. Secretaries were VERY nice. I’m hoping my next visit is timely.

Now I come from a long line of physical problems. I should Him my charts and medicine and he wouldn’t give me one of them. He did give me 2 weeks worth so I can see your doc and be fine . But overalll treated us all nice.

Dr. Chugh was very nice and listened to my issues. He seemed kind of quiet and was very gentle in his manner. I was seen 15-20 minutes after I finished paper work. It’s a very small office in a strip of buildings (5 or 6th down) which was the only confusing thing about the visit. Dr. Chugh explained everything in a simple easy to understand way. The staff even help to find a follow up appointment in a month with my busy schedule.
