Dr. Paternoster is awesome—smart, efficient, explains everything. His practice is well-run and the staff friendly and helpful. I feel like this the type of medical practice that barely exists anymore. Most places, the staff could not care less and you wait forever for barely adequate care. This place is a DREAM. Highly recommend.

The two concerns that I have about my visit was. Little time was spent on my contact lens prescription. The prescription needed to be changed and was not given a trial pair with the new prescription. Second I was diagnosed with the start of torn retina, nothing was done. I asked what needed to be done to correct the problem and his answer was to watched it. I think this is a serious issue. I will be seeking a second opinion on this medical condition.

As a Doctor of Optometry, a crucial part of my commitment to my patients is ongoing professional education.
After receiving my undergraduate degree from Polytechnic Institute of New York, I obtained my Doctor of Optometry from State University of New York.
I am a member of several prestigious medical Associations, including The American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry and the New York State Optometric Association.
I am an active participant in numerous optometric study groups. I was a contact lens instructor at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital - Interfaith and Director of Eyecare at Jarmain's Clinic. In 2009, I was voted one of the "Top Doctors" in New York State by Castle Connolly. I have been a national board examiner for many years. I regularly attend conferences to learn about the latest developments in contact lenses, spectacle lens options, and the management of diseases of the eye.
My cutting edge practice has the latest medical equipment including retinal imaging and the OPTOS retinal scan.

I cam ein with a terrible infection in both my eyes. Not only did he see me almost right away he treated me immediatly for the pain and sent me home with the proper scripts. He was very sensitive to the fact that i was in a lot of pain and didnt get annoyed that iwas bawling my eyes out while trying to explain what was wrong. I was feeling better almost immediatly. Dr. Paternoster even called me the next day to see how I was doing! So kind! I tell everyone about my experience here. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Everyone at the office is very nice and make you feel at ease. I never felt rushed or confused about anything. Dr. Paternoster has a very gentle and helpful bedside manner. He listened to my explanations carefully before assessing the problem and he made sure I understood everything. I typically hate going to the eye doctor because I don't like getting the light shone into my eyes but I found my visit to be surprisingly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Paternoster to my friends and family.
