“The two concerns that I have about my visit was. Little time was spent on my contact lens prescription. The prescription needed to be changed and was not given a trial pair with the new prescription. Second I was diagnosed with the start of torn retina, nothing was done. I asked what needed to be done to correct the problem and his answer was to watched it. I think this is a serious issue. I will be seeking a second opinion on this medical condition. ”

About Dr. Ralph Paternoster
After receiving my undergraduate degree from Polytechnic Institute of New York, I obtained my Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York.
I am a member of several prestigious medical associations, including The American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry and the New York State Optometric Association.
I am an active participant in numerous optometric study groups. I was a contact lens instructor at Brooklyn Jewish Hospital - Interfaith and Director of Eyecare at Jarmain's Clinic. In 2009, I was voted one of the "Top Doctors" in New York State by Castle Connolly. I have been a national board examiner for many years. I regularly attend conferences to learn about the latest developments in contact lenses, spectacle lens options, and the management of diseases of the eye.
My cutting-edge practice, Park Professional Eyecare, has the latest medical equipment including retinal imaging and the OPTOS retinal scan.

I cam ein with a terrible infection in both my eyes. Not only did he see me almost right away he treated me immediatly for the pain and sent me home with the proper scripts. He was very sensitive to the fact that i was in a lot of pain and didnt get annoyed that iwas bawling my eyes out while trying to explain what was wrong. I was feeling better almost immediatly. Dr. Paternoster even called me the next day to see how I was doing! So kind! I tell everyone about my experience here. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

Dr. Paternoster is terrific—pleasant, thorough, happy to explain test results and eager to help patients understand the anatomy of their eyes and how to keep them healthy. The practice is very well run, all staffers are efficient and keep things moving. Gorgeous selection of frames. A win all around.

Everything went smooth, I showed up for my appointment about 10 minutes before and was quickly helped to start all the paperwork since it was my first time visiting Dr. Paternoster.
I went in for contact lens, staff was really helpful and professional, the whole consultation was about 40 minutes. I would really recommend it to anyone looking for an Optometrist.

Everyone at the office is very nice and make you feel at ease. I never felt rushed or confused about anything. Dr. Paternoster has a very gentle and helpful bedside manner. He listened to my explanations carefully before assessing the problem and he made sure I understood everything. I typically hate going to the eye doctor because I don't like getting the light shone into my eyes but I found my visit to be surprisingly enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Dr. Paternoster to my friends and family.

Dr. Paternoster gave a thorough and thoughtful eye exam. He carefully addressed all of my concerns and recommended a vision correction plan that was considerate of my financial and practical needs. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the office and equipment were clean and up-to-date. I was overall very satisfied and would highly recommend his services.
