This was a televisit. I initially (three years ago) was seeing Dr. Ravi in person, having just moved into the area, but we've moved mainly to televisits as my health history and status have become better established. This visit was to discuss how best to assess my current sleep apnea issues towards keeping me sleeping well for the many years ahead, anticipating my living until at least age 95.
I am being treated within current Medicare guidelines, but additional diagnostic testing could help define the best approach going forward. Costs, possible benefits, and the possibility that the testing may simply affirm the current Medicare approach as best were discussed in depth, including financial commitments. It was then up to me to decide whether to proceed. I have chosen to.
Dr. Ravi's medical credentials are supplemented by earlier scientific training, and so he is, in my opinion, better informed than most in considering and evaluating new treatment options. Highly recommended.
