Dr. Ray Hamilton, DNP, PMHNP-BC, FNP-C, is a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychiatric and mental health care. What should a new client know about working with you?
My approach to psychiatric care is thoughtful, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based medicine. I believe mental health treatment works best when patients feel truly heard, respected, and involved in the decisions that shape their care.
I consider many factors affecting a patient's mental health, and take a whole-person approach to care. Sometimes supplement recommendations may be part of your care plan. If this is the case, you will have the option of securing these at a discounted rate through our online Fullscript account, and they will be conveniently delivered to your home.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
I take time to understand each individual's symptoms, life experience, and goals, and I create personalized treatment plans that may include medication management when appropriate, along with holistic strategies that support the whole person. This includes attention to sleep, stress, lifestyle factors, and long-term wellness, not just short-term symptom relief.

We are in-network with many major insurance plans, and we also bill out-of-network plans for patients who have out-of-network coverage. If you are unsure of your network status with us, please reach out to the office. We provide verification of insurance benefits as a courtesy.
If patients have a copay, coinsurance amount, or have yet to meet their deductible, a valid credit or debit card on file is required. Copays are due prior to services being rendered.
Cash-Pay Policy: We are happy to offer a cash-pay option for patients who will not be utilizing insurance for their services. All cash-pay patients are required to provide a valid credit or debit card to be kept on file. The full cost for the visit is due prior to the appointment time, and this will be charged to the card on file.
Emotional Support Animal (ESA) letters, FMLA, disability, and other forms/paperwork are generally not covered by insurance plans, and are subject to a separate administrative fee. A card on file is required for these services, and the balance must be covered prior to the delivery of the completed forms/letter.
