My nail healed beautifully, there was minimal bleeding compared to my previous experience, and he even scheduled a follow-up appointment to make sure it continues to grow properly. I really appreciated that level of care and attention.
The staff was also wonderful—accommodating, patient, and very thorough in explaining everything. I didn’t have to wait long at all, which made the whole visit even better.

About Dr. Reed Coast
Reed Coast, DPM, is board qualified in podiatric surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He proudly serves patients at the Bay Area Foot Care locations in the Mission District of San Francisco and San Rafael, California.
A native of Idaho, Dr. Coast earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington. He earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland.
Dr. Coast completed his residency in surgery at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco. During his residency training, he specialized in trauma, limb salvage, and elective foot and ankle surgery.
He’s an expert in podiatric care and regularly treats a range of conditions affecting the foot and ankle. From routine foot care to treating complicated fractures, patients of all ages trust Dr. Coast.
In his free time, Dr. Coast enjoys almost any outdoor activity, from floating down the river to skiing down the slopes. He likes running, gaming, and watching sports, particularly his favorite baseball team, the Seattle Mariners.

Very unremarkable, except for easy and professional manner of Dr. Coast. Came into the examining room in less than 5 minutes, engaged in informative conversation, trimmed my toenails painlessly and made another appointment 62 days hence.
