Dr. Richard Cook, MD

Dr. Richard Cook, MD

Psychiatrist
MA
People seek psychotherapy for a variety of reasons, but they frequently share one thing in common: the desire to relieve pain and improve satisfaction with their life. This goal can be accomplished in many ways, and a key component of successful treatment is the patient-physician relationship. I provide an empathic and non-judgmental environment that facilitates the exploration and collaboration needed to help individuals learn more about themselves, examine the patterns in their lives they wish to change, and develop the courage to make those changes. I offer both medication management and psychotherapy. Currently, I am not meeting with patients in the office but am seeing them through HIPAA-secure video and audio telehealth sessions. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Boston University and completed my residency in Psychiatry at UMass Memorial Medical Center.
