What should a new client know about working with you?
You can expect a safe, supportive space where we work together to understand your goals, challenges, and strengths. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment—your care will be collaborative, thoughtful, and culturally aware. I integrate therapy with medication management and take the time to listen, explain options, and adjust as needed. You’ll never feel rushed or judged.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
In our first session, we’ll go over your history, current concerns, and what you hope to get out of treatment. I’ll ask questions to better understand your symptoms, lifestyle, and medical background, and we’ll talk through diagnosis and treatment options together. I combine medication management with supportive therapy, so each follow-up includes space to check in on how you’re doing emotionally—not just how the meds are working. My goal is for you to feel seen, heard, and part of every decision we make.

My experience with Ricky Luong was very smooth, he asked many questions which I appreciated, I heard some bad experiences from people before talking to psychiatrists, saying that they don't listen to them and just prescribe them whatever, but my experience was the opposite. And I appreciate prescribing low dosages for me before going too strong. Recommended :)

Had an exceptional experience w/ Ricky Luong. He really took the time to understand my needs and shared practical methods and solutions. The video appointment with Dr. Luong was great! He is very friendly, and easy to talk to. He was very knowledgeable and fully engaged in the conversation throughout my appointment.
