He was elected Chief Resident and awarded the William Jaquith Aware for the most outstanding senior in his final year of the program. After finishing his residency program, he joined the staff at Methodist Richardson Medical Center and Seay Behavioral Health Center to work in the psychiatric inpatient setting. At the same time, he was building up his private practice as a partner with Metroplex Psychiatric Associates. Dr. Benigar has been in practice for over 17 years and loves to work with different patients of all ages and has a strong passion for helping patients on a deeply personal level. When he is not practicing medicine, Dr. Benigar loves to play the guitar and has been playing since he was eight years old. When he is not practicing his guitar solo, you will find him at the nearest car show checking out the newest cars on the market. After finishing his residency program, he joined the staff at Methodist Richardson Medical Center and Seay Behavioral Health Center to work in the psychiatric.
