About Dr. Robert Moriarty
Orthopedist Dr. Moriarty was educated at Boston College, graduating summa cum laude and elected Phi Beta Kappa for academic excellence. His medical training followed at State University of New York where he achieved honors in medicine and surgery. Dr. Moriarty participated in a surgical internship at North Shore University Hospital, followed by a four (4) year orthopedic residency at the State University of New York where he coauthored several publications and authored a chapter in an orthopedic textbook. He received board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is a member of the NYS Orthopedic Association, a fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Moriarty is a former high school and Divison I college athlete who remains active in sports.

This was my frist visit. X-RAYS were taken. Dr said I have the knees of a 22 year old. I’m 66 years old. Need to go for a MRI to see what X-rays didn’t see, if anything.

Knows his stuff! He looked at an X-ray from an urgent care and said the fracture they saw was a previous fracture and what I had was a severe sprain. (I fractured my ankle 20 years ago). Glad someone knows how to read an X-ray

Not sure why some other reviewers were so negative. Everyone in the office was courteous & professional. The wait time was to be expected. The only issue I had is that I saw that the names before me on the sign in sheet had appointments later than mine and were seen before me, despite my being on time for my appointment. I then had to wait 45 minutes.

I thought his staff was very professional. It was not a long wait to be seen, maybe 10 minutes. The waiting room was not crowded. The assistant took my x-ray and the doctor saw me about 5 minutes later. It was my first time and the entire visit- filling out paperwork, x-ray, visit, scheduling next visit took about 40 minutes which I think is reasonable.

Excellent care this visit and last. My wait was only 5 mins. I was x-rayed, saw Dr. M who suspected he knew the problem. Problem confirmed by MRI. Seen again. Dr. explained MRI results and prescribed PT. This no nonsense care is so refreshing.
