He has been using Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) and Intramuscular Ketamine safely and effectively to help thousands of patients suffering with severe and debilitating depression. Dr. Estrada formed Lenox Hill TMS Psychiatric Associates in 2009, and has served as Medical Director for the San Francisco office. He has now formed Ketamine Center of San Francisco, a specialty clinic designed to provide the various forms of Ketamine therapy to treat Mood Disorders. Dr. Estrada completed his Residency training in Adult Psychiatry, where he served as Chief Resident, and Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry at New York University (NYU) School of Medicine. He completed Visiting Fellowships in ECT and TMS at Columbia University Medical Center and has also received formal clinical training in VNS. He recently completed training in Ketamine Therapy at the Psychedelic Sciences Conference and Kaiser Permanente Ketamine Conference. After completing his training, he joined the Attending Staff at Lenox Hill Hospital where he served as the Assistant Director of Inpatient and Emergency Psychiatry (2006) and Chief of ECT Services (2004-2015). He remains on the Voluntary staff at Lenox Hill Hospital and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Estrada is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is an active member of the International Society of ECT and Neurostimulation (ISEN) and the Clinical TMS Society, where he has worked diligently to advocate for mental health parity and increase awareness of novel psychiatric treatments.
