Left my appointment crying and hung up on a medical professional for the first time in my life at age 31. Because the bedside manner, handling, and overall care from this doctor made me have to call my therapist for an emergency session. She was belittling of my concerns and issues, insisted my diagnosed adhd of 5 years was severe anxiety and not adhd. Insisted on upping medication I’m on when I said it was helping everything but the adhd, and basically seemed to just want to flat out avoid giving me help of any kind for it. Given I’m alternative looking it almost felt like medical bias also that I was getting this for recreation instead of help for how she was talking to me. It also almost seems like they might get kick backs for non adhd meds for how insistent she was to push them instead of help me, her actual job. If this is how this practice thinks they can help adults with autism and adhd; do not go or book an appointment here or you will leave crying and belittled with no help.
