“I truly cannot recommend Rosa enough & there are not enough stars in the survey to explain how awesome she is. I have already recommended two people to see her & they cannot stop thanking me, telling me she has changed their life. And that she has done for me! My life has completely turned around in such a positive direction and I finally have my self-esteem back & can honestly say that I like myself again.I had been going through immense trauma and my coping skills prior to my work with Rosa were self soothing with alcohol to escape & people pleasing to either stop the trauma or prevent it.I had previously seen two other therapists & while both were both very good therapists, neither could get to the core of my issues & didn't have the directive solutions that Rosa has for me. Rosa doesn't speak over your head with psychotherapy jargon but instead she breaks it down for you in "real speak" with a directive approach tailored to your situation. Book with Rosa now! You'll thank me later.”

Getting to know Rosa Blasi

Having had a prolific 25-year career in the entertainment industry, I can personally understand what contributes to anxiety, depression, and compromised self-esteem. Through talk therapy, identifying the lies we tell ourselves, and changing the narrative, I believe we are all capable of having the life we desire, getting out of our own way, and moving closer to reaching our goals. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, which informs my approach to therapy-one of transparency and honesty, directness, and a little sarcasm and humor (when appropriate), of course. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, difficulty adjusting to a new life circumstance, identifying or leaving a codependent or toxic relationship, or simply trying to set new life goals to level up and change feeling ?stuck,? I am here for you. I am currently seeing clients both in person and via telehealth, and while I can offer a superbill to submit to your insurance, I DO NOT TAKE ANY INSURANCE at this time.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I graduated with a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in ‘Addiction & Recovery’ from Antioch University, (one of the first in the country to offer this specialization). Since 2018, I have had the pleasure of working at dual diagnosis outpatient treatment centers for people struggling with mental health and/or addiction. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in private practice, I see Clients at office locations in Hermosa Beach and Sherman Oaks, California. I love working with teens, adults, couples, and LGBTQ+ clients and I feel privileged to foster these authentic connections. I think it’s so important to collaborate with clients, understand and make sense of the “Why?” behind our actions, patterns and thoughts, in order to move away from whatever maladaptive coping that has been taking place, and move closer to the healthier life you envision and deserve. Please note I do not take any insurance at this time.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

This is talk therapy, and it should feel casual and easy (even if the client is anxious). One of the best recurring compliments I have heard is from clients is; "I didn't think I was a therapy person...but I guess I am a therapy person". I won't be staring at you blankly saying "uh huh, uh huh, and how did that make you feel?" It will be a collaborative back and forth conversation. I'm a fan of small experiments to see if different coping tools offer comfort or help in between our sessions. I have a bit of a life coach-y approach when needed. And I hope my clients look forward to the sessions.

I was nervous about meeting a new therapist, but immediately Rosa was very easy to talk to. She made me feel like I could open up to her and l’ve noticed a difference already in the short time I have seen her. Highly recommend and grateful to be working with her.
I didn’t really consider myself a therapy person, so I was really apprehensive. As it turns out, it was the best thing I ever did. Rosa was outstanding. So intellectually, and emotionally insightful. She opened my eyes, and my heart. So looking forward to our next session!
I feel so lucky to have found Rosa as a therapist. She is salt of the earth, and truly cares. It’s been hard for me to find a therapist that really listens, and asks non-invasive questions to get to the depths of my trauma. I feel I have found the care I have been looking for with Rosa.
Rosa helped my wife and I work on communication and processing or resentments in a healthy way. For so long I felt like I was miles away from my wife and Rosa was able to bridge that gap. She was God sent with unlimited understanding and patience.
Can’t recommend Rosa enough. I don’t think I was a “therapy person” but it turns out I am. She is easy to talk to, helped enormously with my anxiety and understanding past trauma, and I find myself thinking about our sessions throughout the week. She has really made a positive impact on my life and I couldn’t be more grateful!
She is great and helpful. Very caring and compassionate. You can tell that she really wants her clients to succeed. I like that she is very accessible which is unusual.
