About Dr. Rudy Escarria
For Dr. Rudy Escarria, being a physician, has never been about titles; it has always been about helping people feel better, one day at a time. His approach is rooted in Personalized Patient Care, taking the time to truly listen and understand each patient’s unique story, concerns, and goals without rushing the process. Dr. Escarria earned his Doctor of Medicine and Surgery degree from the University of Valle, where he trained from 1973 to 1980. He later completed advanced training in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics at New York Medical College from 1990 to 1995, strengthening his expertise in caring for older adults and patients with complex medical needs. In 2007, Dr. Escarria completed Opioid Dependence and Buprenorphine Prescribing Training through the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) waiver program, further expanding his ability to support patients struggling with opioid dependence and substance use disorders. His comprehensive understanding of both chronic pain management and addiction treatment allows him to approach care with balance, safety, and compassion. Throughout his career, Dr. Escarria has treated veterans and other patients experiencing both acute and chronic pain using noninvasive treatment approaches whenever possible. He understands how physically and emotionally exhausting chronic pain and detoxification can be, and he works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving function and quality of life. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Escarria is committed to ensuring that language is never a barrier to compassionate, high-quality care. What truly sets him apart is not only his medical expertise, but the way he shows up for his patients, steady, present, and genuinely invested in their well-being. He looks beyond the chart to see the whole person, building trust through attentiveness, respect, and thoughtful care.

I had my first appointment here and it was a great experience. The doctor was very kind, patient, and took the time to really listen to my concerns. They explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable throughout the visit. The staff was also friendly and professional. I’m really glad I found this office and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable doctor.
