Getting to know Dr. Sahar Eftekhar
As a physician and psychiatrist, I believe in the treatment of a person as a whole. My evaluation and treatment plan strongly consider the developmental process and the life events that have shaped a person.
I am board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. I obtained my subspecialist training in Addiction Psychiatry at UCLA in Los Angeles, working at Cedar Sinai Medical Center and the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration Hospital. I completed my psychiatric residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. I obtained my medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at Michigan State University. I specialize in the diagnosis and pharmacologic management of psychiatric illnesses. Guided by the principles of evidence-based medicine, I treat a broad range of psychiatric disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, OCD, PTSD, and adult ADHD.
During your first meeting, I will provide an in-depth evaluation to develop an accurate diagnosis. With expert training in both psychopharmacology and psychotherapy, I will work with you to individualize your treatment plan to best suit your needs.

I was late to my appt as I overlooked the invitation. The Dr I met with was very understanding. I felt heard & understood. I didn’t feel rushed & I appreciated that. All of my questions were answered & explained well. I appreciated my doc’s bedside manner as well. It was an efficient 1st appt w/ an efficient online onboarding process & the office staff also reached out with a pleasant attitude willing to assist me w/ the onboarding as needed. I’d highly recommend this practice.

Visit with psychiatrist went fine. I made an appointment to see a therapist the following week. When I arrived, I found out they had forgotten to put me in their system. No apology, no appointment. The therapist was there and sat me down only to try and reschedule. She claimed cross wires and a new receptionist was to blame. The whole interaction just felt alienating and unprofessional, so I’ve decided to look for therapy somewhere else.

I've gone to Dr. Eftekhar several times and she has been outstanding, I especially like that she takes a genuine interest in her patients and Clarity Clinic is quick and sticks pretty strictly to time slots and appointments.

Simply the best physiatrist I have ever seen. Within ten minutes she was able to understand me, and provide me with a treatment plan , medication, and a therapist in the same building ( who is also amazing) . I highly recommend this dr!
