The provider did not ask any careful questions or consider my individual situation. He ordered x-rays, which were immediately conducted and reviewed. That part was great. However, he did not take things a step further when I believed I needed an MRI. He did not answer my questions thoroughly or with care. This felt like a routine whatever appointment to him, whereas this is a chronic injury that has caused me pain for 15 years.

I have had nothing but good experiences with MedStar orthopedics. As an Equestrian I have unfortunately had to visit them three times in the past two years and have found diagnostics, follow up, etc. to be seamless and expedient. The providers are friendly and their expertise is evident.

My OV with Dr. Weisel was everything I expected from a doctor with his credentials and expertise. He reviewed my images, listened carefully to my symptoms and recommended a course of conservative treatment, while being forthright about the possible eventuality of surgery if the conservative approach does not improve my quality of life. He was very pleasant, which made me very comfortable during the OV and I left the office confident that I made the right choice of physician for my spine/back issues.

I liked Dr. Wiesel very much-straightforward, knowledgeable, responsive. He also let me know I can come back sooner than the 8 week away check up, and that he's an early riser so 7:30 am could work. He was friendly and professional, as were the administrative staff and x-ray techs. All around positive experience!

I really liked Dr. Wiesel, he was able to pinpoint a problem that I have been dealing with for 30 years that no other doctor has ever identified. I am still in the early stages of treatment but am hopeful that with the new knowledge of my condition that we can treat this effectively. Dr. Wiesel biggest plus was that he took time with my appointment. So many other doctors are so booked with appointments they rush in and they rush out! Dr. Wiesel listened to me, asked questions and offered advice. He was patient, understanding and compassionate. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a committed orthopedist doctor.

I am a new patient with deep concerns about my back, knees and neck pain. Dr. Wiesel seemed hurried and didn’t give me a chance to explain my issues. The appointment took less than five minutes and I was hoping this esteemed doctor would have been more thorough. He prescribed me Aleve, which if he had listened, I could have told him doesn’t work for my problems. Additionally, he and his office did not/could not/would not request X-Ray images from my previous hospital. I now have to go to the hospital during work hours and waste my time to obtain my medical images when a simple office request could have saved me the time, trouble and pain. I had high hopes for Dr. Wiesel, but he seems like a very busy and my wellness seemed extremely insignificant to the rest of his schedule. I hope he takes more time getting to understand his other patients.

Wait times: Fairly standard for a large office. I had to wait about 25 minutes to see him, then wait several more times in between nurse checkup, xray, etc. In total I spent about 45 minutes waiting and ~15 minutes actually with the medical staff.
Bedside manner: Fantastic, personable, friendly
Overall satisfaction: I went in for back issues and he barely looked at my back. I am not a doctor, but I feel as if he would understand more about my issue if he took the time to make me go through motions and look at my muscles. He asked 3 basic questions, ordered an xray, and wrote me up a prescription. I will be visiting again in 2 weeks, and I hope to have a more in-depth discussion of my symptoms with him.
