While working as an RN at UAB Hospital on multiple psychiatric units, she treated individuals with depression, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, adjustment disorder, trauma, PTSD, and traumatic brain injuries. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults on both acute and non-acute units. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a therapy designed to help people with PTSD and other trauma-related conditions. She is particularly interested in treating patients suffering from PTSD and trauma-related illnesses, with a specific focus on adolescents, young adults, and veterans.
