Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
CO
I have experience in inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. I have worked in behavioral health in the Denver Metro area for the past decade. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice. I am passionate about evidence-based, collaborative care. Mental health concerns are affected by physical, emotional, spiritual, and environmental factors. We should consider all of these items when choosing a treatment that works best for you. I currently focus on adults with a variety of mental health concerns, including depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I also have experience with mood disorders and substance use. I work to create a calm and understanding environment for my clients. It's an honor for people to share their experiences with me. Mutual respect and trust are important when building a working relationship. I have always wanted to help others. I have been in healthcare for more than 20 years, starting as an Emergency Medical Technician as a teenager. After earning my Bachelor's in the Science of Nursing in 2006, I worked at one of the leading centers for neurology and neuroscience in the United States. Always wanting to learn more, I became certified in both mental health and neuroscience as a registered nurse. I later went on to earn a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Arizona State University's College of Nursing and Healthcare Innovation. Working in mental health is rewarding because we are learning so much in the fields of psychiatry and neuroscience, and it's exciting to see my clients make positive changes in their lives. I learn something new every day. It's my job to share information and tools that each person needs to meet their goals. We can work together to set achievable goals. During your first session, I look forward to learning as much about you as possible. We will identify which issues need to be addressed first, as well as create a game plan for what your treatment may look like moving forward.
