Dr. Richards received her bachelor’s degree in both Chemistry and International Studies from The Ohio State University. She then went on to graduate at the top of her class at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. She then went on to complete her surgical training at Hoboken University Medical Center for a three-year residency in foot and ankle medicine & surgery. In her free time she enjoys baking and spinning.

I have had three different reasons to visit Dr. Sarah Richards and all three visits went better than I expected. The doctor is knowledgeable, clear and has never made me wait more than 5 minutes. The office staff is friendly and helpful. I can’t think of a reason I would go to any other podiatrist. Thank you!

I am extremely disappointed with the care I received at FOOTDRx (Manhattan). Dr Richards and the wait time were okay, but I had a terrible experience with the staff that has made the experience highly unpleasant. Even though Dr Richards appears in my network I called the practice and sent my referral 4 business days beforehand to make sure everything was okay, which they assured me over the phone. A couple of hours after my appointment, l received a phone call from the office and was told that they couldn’t accept my insurance and that they were going to send me the bill home. The person on the phone named Mimi was consistently rude and unhelpful, making an already confusing situation even worse. She yelled at me on the phone, also to my PCP, for something that was just their fault. I don’t recommend this place to anyone seeking compassionate and attentive medical care. The lack of professionalism and competence are unacceptable and it was evident the patient care is not a priority.

My appointment with Dr. Sarah Richards was efficient and effective. She was clearly focused on providing excellent care - took careful note of the reason I was seeing her, offered various courses of treatment, and made sure my questions were addressed. Highly recommend!

I have seen Dr. Richard’s twice now and I’m very happy I found her! The office is well ran and I was seen very close to my appointment time on both visits. Dr. Richards answered all my questions and gave me a clear path to feeling better. She also gave me information about how I could improve my issues with on going preventative home care. I will be recommending her to anyone that is seeking a podiatrist.

Dr. Richards is very efficient & professional. However, she’s a little too quick in her work.
Also, I’ve asked several times for lotion to be massages on feet lastly. Other podiatrists do this.

Dr. Sarah Richards took very good care of me. She made me feel extremely comfortable. She took my concerns very seriously and made sure that she answered all my questions. She provided me with the best care possible. Usually I hate meeting a new doctor. Some doctors can be very dismissive. I’ve even experienced doctors talking down to me. It’s because of those bad experiences I only go to the doctor when I absolutely have to, and we all know how problematic that is. This is why I’m so happy I found Dr. Richards. I will definitely come back to see her in two weeks for my update.

Really friendly staff - super quick and easy. Dr. Richards listened to my issues, took some x-rays and talked through ways to manage the problem. I’m going back for a follow-up in 2 weeks to make sure all progresses as expected. Extremely thorough and efficient.
