“This was my first time seeing a dermatologist. I had two moles I was worried about and wanted to talk about preventative skin aging.
Check in was quick, my wait time was practically nonexistent, and the doctor even removed a painful mole, all in the 20mins of my being there. Some could say that this appointment was rushed, but I viewed everything as efficient. My concerns were heard/met and my time was not wasted waiting like so many other offices.
Overall, I would highly recommend this doctor.”

“All went well after a 30-minute wait. I would have liked the courtesy of a call to let me that the doctor was running late so I didn’t take time off from work unnecessarily. I received several messages from the office warning me about missed or late arrivals and the consequences, so I expected their standard to include timeliness. Otherwise, Doctor visit was excellent. Dr. Semaan listened carefully, explained thoroughly, and took care with procedure.”

About Dr. Sarah Semaan
Dr. Sarah Semaan is a Bay Area local. She completed her undergraduate studies at San Francisco State University where she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biology with concentration in physiology. She then went on to earn her medical doctorate at UCSF school of Medicine. With a newfound passion for dermatology, Dr. Semaan completed an internship at UCSF Health St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco followed by her dermatology residency training at the University of Chicago, where she served as a chief resident.
She has contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatology Society. She practices medical dermatology with a particular interest in complex cases, including rare rashes, hidradenitis suppurativa, eczema, psoriasis, and autoimmune skin conditions as well as surgical dermatology.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Semaan enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
