“Sarah Shellard has been a tremendous blessing to our family. My son is nonverbal, has intellectual disabilities and CVI, so finding the right AAC support felt overwhelming and isolating. Before working with Sarah, I often felt lost and unsure what system would truly meet his needs. Sarah brought not only knowledge and skill, but also kindness, patience, and genuine care. She took the time to understand my son, evaluate his receptive and expressive language, trial AAC options, and build a system that fit his cognitive, physical, and visual needs. She also trained family, teachers, therapists, and aides, helping everyone support him more consistently. What meant most was how invested she was in his success. She researched CVI and AAC, thought creatively, and guided us through the insurance process. Because of Sarah, my son has made real progress, and we finally feel hopeful and supported. ”

About Sarah Shellard

I offer bilingual (Spanish and English) speech and language services for children and adults, designed to be practical, personalized, and centered around your real-life communication needs. Our first session is a virtual video visit where we’ll talk through your goals, concerns, and the support that feels right for you or your loved one. From there, we’ll create a plan together. Follow-up sessions can take place virtually or in your home—whatever works best for your schedule and comfort. In-person services are available throughout Rochester, NY. Please note that the first 60-minute session is an evaluation and consultation (ie. review of current needs and skill levels) and costs $250. Therapy sessions after the initial visit are 30 minutes and cost $70 per session. I do not accept health insurance at this time. I’d love to support you on your communication journey. Looking forward to hearing from you! ¡Espero tener noticias suyas pronto!
