Dr. Sayeh Beheshti, MD

Psychiatrist
24681 La Plaza, Ste 220, Dana Point, CA
I am a psychiatrist providing integrative, personalized care for adults struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and burnout. Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside but feel exhausted on the inside. They are balancing work, school, parenting, identity, or major life transitions while quietly struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, or a persistent sense of overwhelm. Many have tried therapy or medication before, but still do not feel like themselves. They are often looking for deeper understanding, meaningful relief, and options beyond “just another pill.” I am an integrative psychiatrist who combines relational, in-depth psychotherapy with modern neuroscience and advanced treatments. My work may include thoughtful medication management, psychotherapy, ExoMind TMS (a next-generation, noninvasive brain stimulation approach), Spravato for treatment-resistant depression, and FDA-authorized digital therapeutics. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded. We move at a pace that feels safe while still making real progress. If you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected despite doing your best, you are not alone—and you are not “too complicated.” I would be honored to work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide personalized, private-pay care with a focus on depth, clarity, and real change. Appointments are typically longer than standard psychiatric visits, allowing time to fully understand your story rather than rushing to a quick diagnosis. I work best with individuals who are open to a thoughtful, collaborative process. While medication can be part of treatment, my approach is not medication-only. We focus on understanding patterns, addressing root causes, and using the right tools for your specific goals. I also collaborate closely with therapists when appropriate and offer advanced treatment options such as TMS (ExoMind) and Spravato for patients who have not found relief through traditional approaches.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We begin with a comprehensive initial evaluation, where I take time to understand your history, current challenges, and goals. This is not a rushed visit, but an opportunity to step back and look at the full picture. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan. This may include psychotherapy, medication (when appropriate), and/or brain-based treatments such as TMS. Follow-up visits are structured to track progress, adjust treatment as needed, and continue building insight and momentum. My goal is not just symptom relief, but helping you feel more like yourself again.
