About Dr. Scott Koenig
Scott Koenig, M.D., is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in the care of the foot and ankle. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from New York University, completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Boston University, and pursued a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the University of California-Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Koenig has written, researched, and presented on a variety of orthopedic topics, including difficult foot fractures, techniques for improving outcomes after ankle fracture surgery, and applying evidence-based research to surgical decision-making.
An orthopedic foot and ankle specialist, Dr. Koenig joined Orlin & Cohen in 2018 after practicing in the department of orthopedics and sports medicine at ProHEALTH Care Associates in Lake Success, NY. He treats a full spectrum of operative and nonoperative foot and ankle problems, including sports injuries, fracture care, Achilles tendon tears, cartilage restoration, and bunions. Dr. Koenig is one of the few providers on Long Island performing total ankle replacements and is an expert in minimally invasive ankle arthroscopy.

Never looked at me at all. Checked my xray and said yes I can see something happened maybe a sprain and you should go to physical therapy. That was it. Never even looked at my ankle which is what I went for. Will never go back or recommend him to anyone

I would have liked to have receive printed instructions on care of my injured ankle. I saw dr. Koenig for maybe 5 minutes, and then a support person fitted me for a brace. It was all very assembly line. Printed instructions would help.

I was seen very promptly after arriving for my appointment. The office was very clean and modern, and the staff were very friendly.
After a few initial questions by assistant, I was taken for an X-ray and then seen moments later by Dr Koenig. He explained what he saw in the X-ray and what the diagnosis was. Luckily, it not as serious as I was thinking! He did not rush me through the appointment, and took the time to explain the diagnosis and treatment. I would highly recommend this practice and use it again myself.
