Getting to know Dr. Scott Peebles

As a licensed psychologist in Georgia since 2006, I have provided individual and group psychotherapy, psychological assessments, consultation, and health behavior interventions for a diverse and varied adult clientele. My work settings have included a large VA Medical Center, an academic psychiatry department, college counseling centers, and community mental health agencies. I am especially experienced and skilled in helping with emotional and health behavior concerns for clients who also have various medical concerns, such as HIV, Multiple Sclerosis, chronic pain, and insomnia. I believe strongly in a Whole Health approach to working with clients that works holistically with each person as an individual. Many of my clients over the years have struggled with mood issues, anxiety, trauma exposure, relationship concerns, grief, and having a positive sense of self. Many have also wished to quit smoking, be more physically active, sleep better, and manage chronic pain more effectively. I employ evidence-based approaches, though in a person-centered and individualized way, to help with these issues and concerns. I look forward to helping you as well!
