Appointments are conducted through a secure telemedicine program, allowing you to have sessions from your home or office. I earned my Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Buffalo, completed my residency in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, and hold a bachelor's degree from Brown University. Beginning with a detailed assessment, I look for underlying medical and psychological causes of your concerns. I emphasize understanding your unique experience to provide personalized treatment. We discuss the pros and cons of treatment decisions so you can make informed choices. I'm a former Yale Medical School faculty member with experience in both hospital and outpatient settings. Our first appointments are evaluations to get to know you as an individual and determine a treatment plan. Medications are often not prescribed during the initial appointment. Please note that I do not perform evaluations for other purposes (e.g., work, legal) and do not prescribe pain medications or marijuana. Though my office does not participate in any insurance plans, I can provide the necessary paperwork for you to submit to your insurance company if you wish to seek reimbursement for out-of-network care.
