About Dr. Shady Hammoud
Dr. Hammoud received his bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Food Science from Wayne State University in 2012. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2017, graduating with High Honors. He completed his residency training at Saint Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, MI, in 2019, where he served as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Hammoud has earned two board certifications: the first in Internal Medicine from the ABIM in 2019 and the second in Obesity Medicine from the ABOM in January 2022. His clinical interests include weight loss, metabolomics, strength and conditioning training, and nutrition. He integrates these interests into his everyday practice to help treat common medical conditions such as overweight and obesity, Type 2 diabetes, and hypertension. He is also pursuing his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential and is a proud member of the NSCA. Dr. Hammoud is a proud graduate of Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI.
