About Dr. Shalin Desai
Shalin Desai, MD, is a cardiologist with special clinical training in electrophysiology. Dr. Desai is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, clinical cardiac adult echocardiography, nuclear cardiography, and internal medicine. He is also board-certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology. Dr. Desai earned his medical doctorate from The George Washington University. He was awarded a cardiac surgery research fellowship at the Inova Heart and Vascular Institute at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. He subsequently completed a cardiovascular disease fellowship that included intensive training in electrophysiology with the North Shore LIJ Health System, and a clinical cardiac electrophysiology fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center.

I just wanted to share my experience with Dr. Desai. I was really impressed! You know how sometimes doctors can be all rushed and confusing? Not this Doctor. He actually took the time to listen to me, which was awesome.
I had a bunch of questions, and he answered every single one. The best part? He broke down all the complicated medical stuff into terms I could actually understand. It's like he knew exactly how to explain things without making me feel dumb.
By the time I left, I felt super confident about my care. It's like, "Okay, I'm in good hands here." You know that feeling? It's a relief, especially when it comes to heart stuff.
Oh, and the staff? They were great too. Super friendly and helpful. Definitely made the whole experience a lot less stressful.
Bottom line, if you're looking for a cardiologist, I'd totally recommend Dr. Desai.

The waiting area is spacious and clean, reception people friendly and courteous. I was seen promptly, nurse did the BP and EKG right away. Dr. Desai is very personable, explains everything clearly and in great detail, he is very patient in answering all my questions. I am very happy to have found him.

What a gem! There aren’t enough stars for me to give that would represent my experience with Dr. Desai and his team. The office staff is welcoming, helpful and on-time. There was delay due to my GP failed to send test results but Dr DeSai’s office was very accommodating. There was a problem with booking through this website. Website indicated Medicare and AARP Healthcare wouldn’t be accepted and I would have to pay out of pocket. I’ve been to the office before with no problem so I took a chance. This might deter other patients and should be fixed
