I just had a Femoral bypass, I had every test under the sun in the emergency room and then again in the vascular surgeons office. I needed to go in for a prescription refill, she was very uncompassionate to what I just went through, and pretty much scolded that I needed to have my annual, or they would be in trouble. I just spent two months with nothing but doctors and tests, I’m OK with an annual, but not with a bad attitude, so demanding. I told her what I went through, tests etc, she said that it didn’t matter that’s all the other Dr’s records, not her records. No kindness, I couldn’t get her to soften up for anything, not even a little bit, the last annual I had there took all of 15 minutes with the doctor, she could’ve done it, instead of reprimanding me. I left there thinking why would I want to come back, and be treated like that, dang. I know she could get all my records from the hospital and the other doctors office so I don’t have to go through everything all over again.

Dr. Shalini Katikaneni seems very knowledgeable, but I gave her bedside manner a 2.5 star rating due to her misgendering my spouse (despite knowing my spouse’s gender prior to doing so). She also spoke to me with a cold and somewhat accusatory tone despite the delicate nature of miscarriage that we were discussing. She seemed irritated that I wanted her to prescribe me something for the pain..

I moved to this area a few months ago and took some time to find a PCP. I am so glad I found Dr. Shalini Katikaneni‘s office, Prime Internal Medicine Associates. Allison at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. I had some issues with my insurance company but Allison was able to coach me through the steps making me feel comfortable and taken care of. I cannot remember the nurse tech’s name but she was friendly, understanding, helpful, etc. Tami was able to answer all of my questions and provide me with all the info I needed. Each staff member is clearly in tune with all things medical and positive interactions with their patient care. They followed up with an email after my visit which I received no later than 20 minutes after leaving their office. Again, I am extremely grateful to have found this office!

The provider who I saw today was sweet and the office staff was even sweeter. The office was clean and in a safe location near other Dr.'s offices. Allison at the front door was kind, helpful and efficient. She was also super polite. The provider who I saw, Tammy was caring. She took into account my "natural" approach to healthcare and never tried to push meds on me. She listened and wanted to know what I needed for this visit. I think I found my new Dallas PCP. The MA was kind as well, very friendly. This was a great experience.

Dr. Katikaneni took me as a new patient in 2020 during the middle of a pandemic when most doctors were not accepting patients. I was very ill but her medical knowledge saved my life. I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and my visit today I was able to smile and say thank you. If you are in search of a great doctor then look no further.
