About Dr. Shane O’Neil
Dr. Shane O’Neil was born and raised in Minnesota. He attended the University of Madison – Wisconsin for his undergraduate degree and then returned to Minnesota at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities for medical school where he achieved honors and graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Following medical school, he completed a Transitional Year at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN before going on to his dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota. After completing his residency, Dr. O’Neil lived in London, England with his wife for a year while working on clinical trials for emerging treatments for eczema. After his year in England, he returned to Minnesota for work before ultimately moving to Massachusetts to practice dermatology. Dr. O’Neil enjoys spending his free time reading, playing guitar, and staying active outdoors with his wife and dog.

I visited with three issues. The doctor addressed each problem individually and his approach was measured. He was cautious and honest about what he saw. I had a single procedure, and everything was explained to me before it happened.

Dr. O'Neil was very thorough. He checked all my areas of concern, and treated precancerous spots. He recommended a follow up treatment for numerous areas of concern. His assistant Kelsey was very pleasant.
It's the first appointment in years where I didn't sit for an hour in the waiting room. I will definitely see Dr. O'Neil in the future.

Many dermatology practices around here have bad reviews and I had an awful experience with one of their providers at the Mass Ave location (she has since left). I was hesitant to go again but this appointment was fine. The office staff was friendly, the nurse was kind and polite. Dr. O’Neil answered all my questions and made my biopsy quick and painless.
