Patient reviews for Dr. Shannon D. Nelson
Great doctor, and very thorough.
Very thorough! Very professional and well mannered. I would highly recommend Dr. Nelson. The office staff wer also great.
Dr. Nelson is by far the most informative and genuinely personable guy. Professional, yet friendly. He makes you feel at home and never rushes or belittles anything you bring to his attention. Cant say enough about Doc!! Good guy. Good practice.
I really like Dr. Nelson and his staff.
Doctor was kind, knowledgeable, personable and efficient! I really liked that he took the time to get to know me AND go over my results with me later. The only disappointing/inconvenient thing, was that patients are required to schedule a second appointment at another location for blood work. For some reason, they do not perform that in the office (though I think they said they are hoping to get it changed in the future). Otherwise, great doctor and pleasant visit. I would certainly recommend.
Great doctor. No nonsense, asked what I was there for and provided the service I required. Great bedside manner and communication.
Dr. Nelson is great!
Visit was good but i was constantly booked for appointments i didn't need or didn't schedule. I later received a email stating i was discharged because i canceled to many appointment. Honestly its seems like business was very slow at this location. I was always the only patient in the office.
Today was first day and I like Dr. Nelson's bedside manner.
Great bedside manners. very thorough.
Dr. Nelson was very kind and professional.
He is my best doctor, kind , nice and professional. Just did my annual and I am comfortable with it
Dr. Nelson is the best PCP that I have found in Atlanta. He is thorough, intelligent, and empathic. I always leave feeling my concerns are heard, and that I have something I can do about them.
Dr. Nelson is always extremely professional and knowledgeable
Dr. Nelson was great very cordial, professional, best at education patient during visit.
Dr. Nelson offered very helpful solutions to the challenges I am dealing with. I appreciate how he gives time to make sure all issues have been addressed.
Truly a gem!!!
I was not happy with visit. The doctor acted as if he didn't have time for me. When I tried to ask questions or tell him what my diet was, I was instructed to wait until the end, but after he finished he darted out of the room. With him telling me that I was "Pre-diabetic" and that he specialized in this, I was given a pen and told to write down a laundry list of foods I should eat, as he hurriedly rattled off, seemingly frustrated when I asked questions for better understanding. I felt if he specialized in this, why am I writing all this and why no prewritten literature.
Dr. Nelson was awesome. I found him on this website, and I was thrilled with my decision. He was very informed on my needs for my upcoming abroad trip. I will be returning for a physical!
Dr. Nelson is a very knowledgeable and personable Doctor. I found the visit warm and friendly. He was polite and Professional and got right to resolving my issue. I left feeling great and I will wait to see how the medication works out but right now everything is 5 Stars.
Smart and detailed
Very Impressed with his service. I've made him my primary care physical now.
Dr Nelson seemed very easy to talk too. Great recommendations.
This was my first visit with Dr. Nelson and I am very impressed with his professionalism and genuine kindness. I was concerned about my choice of primary care physician but after today’s visit, I feel very relieved.
He was good and very professional.
Very personable and happy to see his patients. Willing to take the time to talk and answer any concerns you may have. Also, gives a sense of support and encouragement outside of just being there to diagnose and evaluate your health.
It’s great to have a Dr that pays attention to every little detail.
The doctor is great but they didn't review my ZocDoc info before I came. Ended wasting my time because they couldn't prescribe the medication I shared I was coming in to refill after moving from another state. Had my info been reviewed, this could have been avoided. Could be just a staff issue
It was a great experience. Staff was friendly. The doctor was very kind and gathered important information with out making me feel over whelmed. I left the appointment feeling like I had stablished a professional relationship and that is a good feeling.
After the blood work review completed, the doctor didn't have a time to look at my illness because this visit is for preventing maintenance but I received a bill for regular office charge.
Extremely nice and actually cared about what we were discussing!
Great visit, Great advice

Great detailed oriented doctor.
He was very knowledgeable, easy going, and I'm already starting to feel better after the meds and diet he advised for me. Thank you doctor! I think I've found a permanent doctor in Atlanta.

Great doctor. Cares about his patients. Wait time was to long for me to be the only one there at the time.
