About Dr. Shawn Lee
Dr. Lee is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Lee graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami as part of the prestigious Miami Scholars Program. This competitive program allows a select few to combine their fourth year of undergraduate studies with their first year of medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, completing both degrees in seven years. He was also inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, regarded as the Nation’s most esteemed academic honor society. He completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies, where he was selected to serve as Chief Resident. He was honored as a recipient of the “Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology” award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, as well as the Dr. Robert Bowles “Excellence in Medicine” award.
Dr. Lee focuses his medical practice on general obstetrics and gynecology. His special interests include high-risk obstetrics and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery utilizing both laparoscopic and DaVinci Robotic approaches. He is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
Dr. Lee is married with three children, and joined our practice in 2015.
He practices exclusively at Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies and Oviedo Medical Center and cares for patients at our Winter Park and Lake Nona offices.

Dr. Lee is a wonderful and caring OB!! I had a very traumatic end of my first pregnancy/ birth of my son who was born 10 weeks early. My original OB/Gyn through that pregnancy turned out to be awful when s*** hit the fan, and I never saw her again (she didn't even deliver my son). I was recommended to Women's Care by a friend after everything that happened and needed a new OB/gyn. I decided to book with their Lake Nona office for my first annual exam since having my son and wow, Dr. Lee was incredibly caring and an amazing listener. I explained everything that happened the prior year with my pregnancy, and ended up breaking down and crying and he was really so wonderful in those moments that I knew I could trust him if/when I get pregnant again. Both of my parents are physicians and I grew up with many doctors as family friends, but I don't think I've personally had a doctor be as kind as Dr. Lee is.

Great location! Clean and spacious waiting room. The staff is so welcoming and nice. Dr. Lee took care of me for my visit. He was thorough and very knowledgeable. I didn’t feel rushed through my exam. He gave me many alternatives of perscriptions and explained each in detail to better suit me. He is so eager to answer all your questions when you visit him. He’s dedicated in his position!

This is the best obgyn practice I have been to. They got me through my high risk pregnancy and were amazing. Dr.Rothen is the best, she’s smart, thorough and makes you feel comfortable. I had to have emergency surgery and she was amazing. I’ve had the pleasure of also seeing Dr.Lee and Dr. Hahn and both were great. They are very accommodating and can often see you within 24hrs if not the same day. They do most labs in house so results are quicker. Highly highly recommend

I've been going here for about three years now, and it has been the most relaxing gynecologist visits I've ever had.When I was younger, I used to stress out about going for well woman visits. But here, they are gentle, kind, and caring. If you're nervous or have had some bad experience in the past, I highly recommend the doctors here!!! I'm always seen quickly (no waiting around in cold paper napkins forever!), with great care, and I really felt listened to and cared for every step of the way.Nurse Madeline is amazing!!!I've also had great experiences with Dr. Lee and Dr. Tandon. Both were great, and I highly recommend them!

Amazing front staff and doctors. Front staff is super sweet and makes you feel like family. I have only been to the office twice and they already remember me. They were super sweet and patient with me and all my questions. I have met two doctor, Dr.Hann and Dr.Lee both took their time to listen to my questions and explained everything throughly. It was easy to make appointments that fit our schedule. There was little to no wait time in the waiting room, and in the actual patient room. Office is clean and very modern, they even have a great incense going as well. Looking forward to continue to see them in the coming weeks and months of follow ups. They offer 3D scans, Ultrasounds, genetic testing and blood work right in office as well. ;)

The staff and doctors are great! I feel like I matter here and I am not just a number on an account. Dr. Lee took the time to get to know me and really listen to what my concerns were, he addressed everything in a manner that I could fully comprehend. I highly recommend this office for anyone needing OB-GYN care.

I absolutely love the staff and Dr. Lee! Dr. Lee is just so kind and understanding. He really tries to understand your concerns and offers very valuable information. I've been with Women's Care Florida since I was 19 years old. I've had nothing but good experiences so I figured I'll try the lake nona location. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and came for the 3 hour glucose test. I felt dizzy and light headed within the first hour and they were so kind to offer me a room for the three hours I'm suppose to be here. The lab tech also came to the room to draw my blood so that I wouldn't have to move. Very sweet group of young ladies! Thank you Women's Care Florida!
