About Dr. Shawna DeGraff Roberson

Dr. De Graff Roberson, who primarily goes by Dr. De Graff is proud to be joining the On Point Broomfield clinic in fall 2024. She is a Colorado native, born and raised in Greeley, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, double minor in Biology and Chemistry, and Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, all at UNC. After grad school she spent several years teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Kinesiology and a variety of fitness classes at the Academy of Natural Therapy, Aim’s Community College, Community College of Aurora, Front Range Community College and Arapahoe Community College. But even after several years of teaching, she never lost the desire to pursue her true passion of Medicine. Dr. Degraff attended Medical School in Ft Lauderdale, FL at Nova Southeastern University, earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011. She then went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Broward General Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami, FL, and remains board certified in both areas. After completing her training, she returned to Colorado and has been practicing here since. Her expertise not only includes traditional Internal Medicine, in which she is proficient in the most complex of cases, but rather uniquely also includes many non-surgical Orthopedic procedures such as ultrasound guided joint and spine injections. She also does regenerative and reparative injections using PRP (platelet rich plasma) and prolotherapy to help repair injuries, not just “put a band-aid on them.” Her techniques in Osteopathic Manipulation are typically gentler than most, yet just as effective, and have been used on patients ranging from 9 years old to 90 years old with good outcomes at all ages. It is the concept of treating the entire being from multiple modalities that truly makes her a unique and very effective physician.

I didn't feel as if this provider took my symptoms seriously.
Great! Easy flow from check- in to seeing the Dr.
I had a relatively normal appointment with Dr. DeGraff-Roberson, but upon requesting a refill for my medication, she responded to my message in a very rude and condescending manner. The last person I want to feel judged by is my doctor. I will not be returning.

On paper, Dr DeGraff seemed like a good fit, but the appointment was honestly really weird. She was super judgmental, and she was unnecessarily negative about my health issues. Of course, I asked for her opinions, her only helpful advice was how I should pay her a weekly visit, and otherwise there’s nothing I can do. I later found out that her student/assistant was recording the conversation, in her notes it says I gave permission for this but I wasn’t even aware that it was happening. THEN I read all the negative reviews on different websites, and it basically just confirmed that “off” feeling she gave me. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable with their physician, if you think it’s off, trust your gut and find someone else.
As a first time patient I did not leave feeling like I’d go back. While I understand the need to learn more about your patient, it felt more like a judgemental space than a non-judgemental one when asked about family history, and check up and vaccination history. By the end of the appointment I decided on a couple vaccines I’d be comfortable getting same day and after 25 minutes of waiting for the nurse to return to the room I ended up having to go out to the receptionist because they had forgotten about me. Overall it was an unprofessional appointment and not somewhere I’d recommend.
Despite the great reviews, this was a terrible experience. First issue that is 100% not the office's fault, but I was in search for a primary provider and was directed to this office. They seemed
I was seen within a timely manner of checking in. The staff was nice. All my questions and concerns were answered and handled appropriately.
10/10
Felt like the doctor was in a rush and didn’t have enough time to go over results with me. Told me we couldn’t go over results as a whole but gave me bits and pieces. Didn’t give me any solutions based on those results but said she did in the appointment summary. Beside manner was not the best due to the rushed feeling of the appointment and unclear communication.
Very professional..fast ..neat and clean
Thank you for being so kind.

Friendly office! Dr DeGraf was thorough and listened well. I especially appreciated that Quest Diagnostics was right there in their office to do the bloodwork.
Verified patient
I have never been treated this unprofessionally. How she spoke to me in my appointment was not how I believe a medical professional should treat their patient.
I’m searching for a primary care doctor who will listen to my concerns, provide appropriate feedback and support me with any/all health concerns. Instead of getting into specifics I’d just say this doctor did the opposite of what I was looking for. I was told that after my year long search to figure out what was going on with my health, that the Covid vaccine is what has caused my health problems..? When I had been experiencing some of these symptoms before COVID even hit so idk why that even came up. There’s proof that I have an extreme hormone imbalance, among other things, and it is concerning. My way of life has changed drastically over the past 3 years with minor changes, if at all, to what I was doing regularly. I was told I am going the wrong direction by using a functional, holistic doctor that is actually helping me find real results. After this interaction, I am putting a hold on trying to find a PCP because all of my concerns either get dismissed or told I have anxiety.
If I could give zero stars I would. This doctor lacked any sort of empathy and I walked out of there feeling much worse than when I walked in. She did not care to provide any information about my sickness, and stayed in the room for a couple of minutes with me. I genuinely have never felt less cared for by a doctor, and wish I had done more research before booking with her. Please do not book with her if you’re looking for any type of comfort, help, or guidance.
Wait time was long, started prescribing medication before even examining me, was not knowledgeable on certain medications, googling things when I would ask, basically did not give me any incite on what I was sick with just said, could be this, could be that.
Would highly recommend

Excellent care from all of the staff here
Dr. DeGraff is wonderful. She listened to my past medical history, took in-depth notes, and I started to feel better within the first visit.
I went to Dr. DeGraff Roberson and for a physical and PAP smear and she was in the room with me for a total of maybe 3 minutes. This is including the PAP smear, and answering one question I was able to squeeze in and ask. The medical student helping me said that the doctor would do a breast exam as part of my visit and she never did. I was also told that the doctor would complete my physical after the medical student started the process, but she did not. Almost immediately upon walking into the room, the doctor said “We are running out of time” a bit under her breath. Once she finished the PAP smear, which was my first one ever, she said I was good and walked out and shut the door. I was left splayed in a gown on the bench. So I put on my clothes and saw myself out, because I guess what was what I was supposed to do. This was a frustrating and discouraging experience for me.

This was the first time I really felt seen by my provider. She put me on a new medication that has already greatly improved my life.

I was able to get an appointment quickly and Dr. DeGraff listened well to my needs and worked with me on finding solutions. I really appreciated her competency and care.
Verified patient
Positive experience that was efficient and informative without feeling rushed. Questions that I had were addressed preemptively by offering context and information. I was pleased not only with the level of medical care I received but by the informational experience as well.
Verified patient
My visit was excellent, everyone in the office is very friendly and helped me to feel comfortable. I was able to get bloodwork done right after my appointment, too, which was super convenient. Thanks!
She did not listen to anything I said. Did not even look at my feet after I complained that my feet are numb and tingling. All she wanted was to set up weekly appts to “correct” my back.
Verified patient
Great as usual.
Good, everyone was nice, easy.
I was a new patient and was seeing the doctor on a sick visit. I just wanted to be treated for the issue at hand and see how I liked the doctor. Her bedside manner was lacking and their restroom for what should be a sterile environment is dirty.
